This was the last sonic game that came out before I turned 18. I was disappointed with it because the only other sonic game I had played was generations at the time. But over time I came to appreciate it more just because of how crazy people keep saying Sonic 06 was better (I was playing sonic 06 at the same time as I was forces when it initially came out). And for whatever reason the community acts like just because Sonic P06 is good means the actual sonic 06 (I was playing pS3 version which is the worst one) was better than forces which is ridiculous but that seems to be the consensus of the community to this day. I understand some of their criticisms but definitely not the one that 06 is better than forces. It was trying to give the player agency in how you look and that to me elevates it in some ways just because I like the idea of customization in the same way that I liked it when frontiers eventually came out and allowed you to customize your controls. But besides that forces was polished even if it wasn’t the generations successor I wanted.

The Japanese version actually have the script to be just about the same as the original version of Sonic Generations other than the visual changes and the additional lines for Sonic when he saves his friends.

I kinda like your view of the classic Sonic musics, and it makes sence, but the thing is that the music is just not good to listen. People like a music that they can listen anywhere in anyplace now a days, and the classic music in Forces is not this. Also people around the Sonic community don't like this idea to limit yourself just because it was like this 30 years ago. Why can a classic Sonic music have that same vibe, but with modern audio instruments?

If Sonic Forces didn't had Classic Sonic and didn't have that big plot of world domination, if it was the same game, but witout this 2 things, it would have been more well recived

Very late in this comment I think classic sonic is now considered a new branching timeline or now a different universe entirely as seen in the updated cannon of shadow generations. Which means how the events of sonic force the universes were collapsing into each other. As I think sonic mania the same classic sonic in sonic forces and generations. That is why our sonic’s isn’t affected as he still remembers the events of sonic adventures. It is his story not classic sonic’s story.

Somewhat off topic, but do people here remember how in that one free comic book day comic IDW did they revealed that Sonic was ground zero for the metal robo-virus, but he never changed and was cured before turning even though that was days later and everyone else changed almost instantly? I just wanted to remind people that the IDW comic is garbage overall, and not just in the way where they try utilize characters and keep the soul of sonic alive.

None of the examples you gave are even Super Forms, Blaze form is called Burning, not Super and she used her own set of Emeralds to gain that form, not the chaos Emeralds. Chaos form is called Perfect Chaos, not Super Chaos, G-Merl transformation is called Ultimate G-Merl, not Super G-Merl, everything else is considered a Super State, not a Super Form. Sorry but when you go as far as using Burning Blaze for example, a firm that even connected to the Chaos emerald, then it feels like you're really reaching. A going example to this is Dragon Ball, a lot of Characters have transformations but their not Super Saiyan transformation. Frieza have transformations but their not considered super saiyan form, Kaio Ken isn't super Saiyan transformations. Just because most characters can use the chaos emerald doesn't mean they can gain a true Super form from it. Tails, Knuckles and Amy doesn't even turn Golden like Sonic, shadw silver did,

The only change presented here I think is a positive one, is that they updated the CGI cinematic (9:26) to have sound effects, while the original just had the music. Granted, the sound effects aren't edited in quite as well as they were in OG Gens' initial teaser trailer, but it's at least a somewhat valuable change.

In Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic understood he was the bad guy in this story. And he was cool with that.

Honestly both Classic Lara and Legend Lara to me are both great characters for different reasons and I'd love for either one to get another adventure, what really pissed me off is Reboot Sociopath Lara and how the games media loves propering her up as some sort of "true" feminist icon when she is the weakest most insufferable version of the character.
