I know this is an older video but i will say i agree with most everything you said but 2 things. 1 is there really is not such thing a “teacup” size. There is no registration that would refer to any size as “teacup”, so yes you were right in saying that you got a Yorkie. You just so happen to get one that is smaller than 5lbs. I guess anything smaller than 5lbs society likes to call it a “teacup”. 2nd, i would say you should let people meet her, just because you let someone else spend time with her doesn’t mean she is going to forget about you and love the other person more. I have a husky and she adores my brother, loves when he comes to play and all. As soon as i leave to go somewhere though she misses me and practically ignores anyone else unless they are taking her for a walk. Also by letting other people meet her will show her she doesn’t have to be aggressive, territorial, or afraid of other people who may want to interact with you. You should want your dog to be neutral or content being around other people.

You got a bad deal! I have 2.64 pound teacup with pointed ears! Your Yorkie has floppy ears which is bad for Yorkies
@kylachaunte8 ай бұрын
She has floppy ears (which I love!) because I was uneducated and didn’t know the hair on her ears needed to be cut in order for them to stand up but I am more than happy to have my girl exactly as she is!

My golden doodle doesn’t like too many people, but loves everyone that lives here. My old dog use to go to anyone that called her including strangers if they called her. I hated it. My dog now be like nope you ain’t my mama. Dogs are the best my boy is 75lbs, eats 50lbs of dog food in two weeks but brings us our shoes when we go to the door. I want a yorkie too one day

Watching this I had to smile. Yes, you are a mother! You are HER mother. ❤ I have two yorkies, 8 and 3 years, and there is very little difference in taking care of them and my 3 children, who are grown now. They have beds, playpens, a stroller that fits both inside. Mine wear diapers because... well, boys will be boys! 😂 I cook their food, walk them, wash their clothes and jackets, etc. I see no difference other than they don't speak English! But they DO understand it! And I absolutely love being a Dog Momma to my fantastic little furbabies! I can tell you feel same way! 🥰

My Yorkie is 6 months old and I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old. His birthday is July 19, 2023 and l swear at times it’s like l have 3 TODDLERS all at 1 time. I take him to be groomed every 6 -8 weeks. He’s getting Neutered next Thursday February 8. I’m excited but scared at the same time because I don’t know what to expect after his surgery..will he be in pain will he need pain meds how do l care for him afterwards. He has become my CHILD and I’m over protective of him. His finicky behavior is cute Sometimes 🤣!!! he doesn’t like hard food only canned or whatever l eat.. my only drawback is accidentally peeing whenever he’s excited especially when guest come to visit. Can anyone help me with this?!
@kylachaunte10 ай бұрын
I'm so happy to hear this! My best advice for the neutering process and aftercare is to listen your vet's instructions and be very patient with your fur baby. As far as the accidents, I think they'll probably go away with age but I'm not exactly sure because I haven't dealt with it personally. You could make sure to take him outside to potty beforehand if you know you'll be having guest or before playtime so he can empty his bladder.

Why would you get an animal when you know absolutely nothing about their needs!
@kylachaunte10 ай бұрын
Everyday people get things, dogs, and even have babies barely knowing the full scope of what they require. The important part is that they know they'll do whatever it takes to make sure they take care of it and that's exactly what I have successfully done with my dog for the past 2.5 years. Maybe you should offer some advice for people who were like me and are preparing to get a dog by watching this video instead of making them feel shameful because they don't know something ♡.
