I have a e84 x1 just upgraded the 6.5” to 8.8” screen. I figured it would need coding. But when I’ve connected the new screen it gives me a double image. Is this normal pre coding ( just checking that what it would do if needing to be coded and it’s not a faulty screen)

Not necessarily! Tough to say without actually seeing the car in person but as long as the car was taken care of a high milage N55 isn't to bad if you can get a good price. Just make sure to ask the seller about maintenance. Was it garage kept? Was it ever tracked? Is it stock or modified? Try to get as much info you can from the seller

This happen to me. Both sides of my my hose broke off so I had to replace. Super easy to install. Can you put the new coolant mixed in with the coolant that is already in there? I went to the bmw to get the bmw specific coolant

Yeah that shouldn't be an issue and I would also use genuine bmw specific coolant right from the dealer at a 50/50 diluted mix with distilled water. Might want to just get a coolant flush done too

This is helpful. I assume my stock boost pipe cracked running tune 2 on my jb4. On my 435, I’ve been having a devil of a time finding where the top of the pipe connects. I dropped the intercooler completely, and I was afraid I was going to have to disconnect some radiator hoses to gain access from the bottom. Did you have to disassemble anything in the engine bay to gain access from the top?

Naa I didn't disassemble anything from the top. It's just a really tight fit all around either way but keep at it and you'll get it. It's doable
