Why is Cooper held to such a lower standard than every other player on MSU. “He had a nice catch… he wouldn’t have done that two years ago.” Is catching the ball really worth complementing on, should that not just be expected?

I usually rail on Fears. Today he may have played his best game in a Spartan uniform. Credit where credit is due. Almost a double double with assists. Only 1 TO. Less dribbling at the top of the key. More ball movement. Fine job, Mr. Fears.

Do not expect a call from Coach Izzo for your advice. Spartans have allot of talent this year. That talent is more than emerging and the team is doing a fine job playing off one another. They area a team and like do very well this year. This is a team the fans are excited to watch - Carr is a dazzle. Go GREEN

The one thing that stands out most this season is how well balanced this team is overall. In any given game, one out 10 players is capable of stepping up and taking control of the game. This is an amazing weapon to have in your arsenal. There is not one superstar, there are 10 possible superstars who can step up and change the direction of the game in a positive way. Then the rest of the team feeds off that person. Each with different weapons in their talent pool.

Jeremy Fears fell down again. Dude keeps falling down, like in his alley oop to Carr. I just think of my nephew who had a muscular disease and kept falling over then they realized he wasn't healthy. It just makes me wonder if his legs are a problem still. It's very strange how he randomly falls over outside of a crowd.
@rareforever96237 күн бұрын
great observation. maybe his brain hasn't rewired from not just healing, but the subconscious trauma incurred due to the incident. I mean its not like he got injured playing basketball, the kid got shot. hope the staff continues to keep his health under review and provide mental help if needed, even if not conscious, the brain knows all.

@@rareforever9623 yeah kind of like when you're afraid to move your body because it may get hurt. I once injured my knee and was walking and it froze up on me because my brain was like in protect mode, anticipating it hurting if I moved it

Tom tell fears he can shoot the ball when he gets in the lane free thanks
@RupyReacher9 күн бұрын
Also tell Fears to stop dribbling so much. The ball moves faster when it is passed. The ball does not move the same when Fears is at point. Too much dribbling and directing people who don't need to be directed. The offense is in motion while he is dribbling around and pointing. He is not Cleves. He is way overrated. Should have never put himself in the position to get shot in the leg. Dumb decision making for someone who is supposed to be a leader. Hooloman and even Richardson are better point guards. They make better decisions on in bounds plays and the distribution of the ball.
@andrew48479 күн бұрын
@@RupyReachereh, I like when fears keeps the ball moving. Albeit a fine line. That’s one thing that drove me nuts last year-Hoggard would pick up his dribble at the top of the key as opposed to probing.
@msufan10419 күн бұрын
@@RupyReacher he is a great passer. i dont think he is dribbling too much but i think he is mentally in a pass only state of mind and not hunting for his shot, which yea it does hurt the offense. i think the fears/holloman/richardson backcourt all compliment eachother. and not every point guard msu has needs to be a 12 and 6 avg mateen cleaves. i do wish msu had more of a scoring pg though

So so first half, turned it up a notch in 2nd half. Still, lots of work to do if the Spartans want to contend in BIG as at least 5-6 teams could win BIG. Booker is improving but has long way to go.
