@@deliapena342 don’t hate; help. How do I do it better?
@deliapena3422 ай бұрын
@cross-eyed-chef I'm not hating. But you can cut tortillas into squares, and then fry them. Not too crispy. Take them out of the skillet, set aside. Saute your onions and tomatoes. If you don't like tomatoes it's optional. Season to taste. Now you place the tortillas back in your skillet. Now like you did before, by scrambling the eggs, but you might want to add 2 teaspoons of water into the eggs, then scramble. Slightly seasoning the eggs. Remembering everything else is also seasoned. Pouring the eggs into the fried tortillas. Stirring constantly so as not to have it burn nor brown. You want your eggs to be light and fluffy. Once you make this once, you'll be good to go whenever you want to make this again.

@ I used to do it more along those lines but my tortillas were always too crispy for my liking…
@deliapena3422 ай бұрын
@@cross-eyed-chef You can fry them slightly. Kind of like a soft taco shell made with corn tortillas. Frying them slightly will bring out more flavor. The ones you are using are also hard chips. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm badgering you to do it any other way, but the way that you will enjoy it. My apologies.

in australia, we call these "toad in a hole". i have no idea why, we just do
@cross-eyed-chef2 ай бұрын
Love that one. Someone called it a Tennessee egg.. also egg in a frame.. I heard a lot…
@ruthbradley682 ай бұрын
in UK Toad in the hole is sausages cooked in the oven in a roasting dish and then when half cooked you add Yorkshire pudding mix and it all puffs up around the sausage and is delicious served with mashed potato and seasonal veg. Egg in a hole like this tastes MUCH better if you fry your bread and eggs the same way in butter - but then butter makes everything better! Crumbled crispy bacon on top of melted cheese and it is food of the gods ! xxxxxxx
