Found this a while ago. May not be relevant if you're using external batts. though. Rear antenna: 20 milliamps of additional current is consumed when the rear antenna connector is selected owing to the relay being energized. Use the front antenna connector: This reduces current consumption by about 6% by de-energizing the selector relay. John. 2E1JBC

I’m going to try your settings, I just can’t seem to get mine to work! Noticed your incoming signals were clipping (bar graph on left) probably the reason you weren’t getting a reply, over driven signals make it harder for wsjt to decode .. thx! “73” WW3DX

Listening to you on 14330 right now, congrats on making it to the German North Sea coast with (did I get that right?) 6W... into a YouLoop antenna which pretty much sucks on 20m, positioned indoors in the attic of a house that got the roof covered in solar panels just last week, with the antenna oriented more or less N-S so the panels and inverters cause don't make such a horrible racket on all bands on top of the -90dBm wideband noise floor. Tl;dr, it's a miracle that I heard you. :)
@2e0hpiАй бұрын
@13DKA-kg2fz yes that is correct , Yaesu FT818 6w today with EFHW 20.5m wire right by the North Sea
@13DKA-kg2fzАй бұрын
@@2e0hpi Awesome! "Right by the North Sea" may have given you the 10dB needed to punch through the noticeable attenuation of the panels and rails on the roof for full copy on you most of the time (some QSB). I'm several 100m beyond the 10 lambda "enhancement zone" of the coast so that didn't help so much with the levels on my side either. 🙂
