My God, if you all remember, this soundtrack is so similar to scene from Silmarilion when High King Fingolfin felt by hand of Morgot and when Thorondor, Lord of all eagles, saved Fingolfin's body from desecration and destroys Morgot's face. Like an God sent some angelic form to save you from Devil himself. It always brings a tear in my eyes!

This theme reminds me also on Silmarilion when Thorondor arrived and saved Fingolfin's body from desecration when he attacked and injured Morgoth and took Kings body at the top on the mountains which were looking on Turgon's city of Gondolin. Beautiful scene and music.

I absolutely love this scene... the Eagles are like angels descending from heaven, gently lifting Frodo and Sam away to safety... and in their talons, our heroes, eyes half-lidded, rest at last.

I often think about what Tolkien called this... Eucatastrophe.
