Thank you so much, been looking for a way to hook up batteries for a UPS that came with no batteries. This was the only video done in a way I could use it to figure it out.

I just had wires and a box, so your video helped me follow along and attach new batteries.

Whoever your camera guy is needs to lay off the coffee....the camera is all over the damn place. I get dizzy just trying to watch what you're doing....next time just use a camera tripod....this guy is whacked.

Very clear video but I have a couple of observations. Firstly, for those looking to do this, you will need eight 12v 5Ah SLA batteries with F2 type connectors. The F2 connectors are 1/4" wide. You can see that the batteries being removed in this video have the F2 connectors, but the batteries being installed have smaller F1 type connectors that are 3/16". The smaller connectors can result in poor connections or and electric arc which is unsafe. Additionally the batteries that were removed had a shield over the positive terminal. This shield could easily be removed from the old battery and installed on the new for a safer installation (particularly in the area in the center where the batteries are positioned where the negative terminals of one battery are a short distance from positive terminal of the other battery). The technique to lift each battery is interesting but unnecessary. You can replace them all laying on their side with the use of a basic par of needle nose pliers, and that applies to all batteries including the last two that you did differently than the others. Good luck! ps. These batteries are more commonly found with F1 connectors at local stores including HomeDepot, but you can also find them with the appropriate F2 connectors with little effort.

Thanks for the info, was about to order some batts with F1 but went with the F2 because of your comment.

Is your camera person okay? Sounds like they are about to keel over (heavy breathing).

Hi, Can you tell me, output of this battery pack (RBC43) is 24 Volts or 48 Volts?
@XGempler5 жыл бұрын
A successful installation should yield a reading of 48-51 volts as tested at the external blue connector.

Estimated Michael, Please answer me a question, after replacing the batteries RBC43 module is no need to reset or inform the UPS the batteries were replaced? If yes, you can tell me how is the procedure? I'm using SUA2200RMI2U model that came imported from our headquarters in Iowa to Brazil. Thank you so much.

is the ELPLP41 the same as the ELPLP42 Bulb? Can they be used interchangeably? They appear to be almost identical
@mngo6138 жыл бұрын
yes the bulb is interchangeable. There is a difference in the housing that makes the different.

Are these wired in parallel or series? Looking to replace with some big deep cycle lead acid batteries for long running. Need to know how many I'd need - thanks :)
@ZietZa7 жыл бұрын
There are 2 sets of 4 batteries wired in series and parallel. the battery bank is 48 volt. if you are replacing them with deep cycle lead acid batteries you will need 4 of them wired in series.
