Lots of good info in here, especially on the performance aspect. Also, I do like the idea of branding under Neon for all of it, it's all encompassing but like you said, doesn't pigeon hole you into an "only electric" service.

No, they did not give out free money. It was 1200 dollars one time, and it was NOT 900/week either, and people not wanting to die from COVID is why they quit, not a paltry amount from the government. I'm normally with you but come on, don't try and spin the same old tired yarn that just isn't true.

Yes sane experience in Australia my older batteries still going strong. My new battery a problem from the start. Can be fully charged and stop working after 5 mins. Very frustrating as the equipment is great.

Hey buddy, so I'm looking to strat an electric Mowing company down here in fl and wondering if you can have a solar system to help keep battery charging throughout the day. I would like to have a deeper conversation on this when you got a sec.

I literally tried to install new lithium batteries in my Ryobi rm300e this week but ran into an issue. They’re a total of 4, 12V batteries but after hooking them up in series push 53V. When I try to start the mower, the lights flash then everything dies. All the wiring and 100amp fuse are good so I’m guessing it’s the contactor. Is there something you did to get the BMS to not shut down?

I go from restaurant to restaurant checking out the dumpster pads and the sidewalks and walls of the building and I also check the windows. So I powerwash dumpster pads, sidewalks, walkways, siding of building and roofs. Also wash windows so I make a fair quote on a proposal and I staple a business card to the proposal and I walk in ask for the manager and hand it to them if no one wants to look around with me. It's getting your name out there. I put door hangers on mailbox flags. Another great idea is to sign up and deliver Amazon packages through the flex app. Pick up a block of packages 📦 in a great neighborhood and deliver them amaon packages but make stickers and put on your advertisement stickers right under the persons name on the Amazon packages. This is amazingly accurate and it's unbelievably 60% of those stickers on Amazon packages 📦 call you back.

Note for the lawn care professional.: I got the Kobalt 21" 80V (Greenworks clone) for places my Snapper 36" commercial mower won't fit into. The 80V is pretty good, but doesn't bag a damn thing in the real world. Cool idea for mulching tho. I think they make the blades low-lift on purpose to save watts. 21 or 25", lowest-lift as can be. All these electric mowers could use a true high-lift. Otherwise not fit for commercial service. My small Snapper 36" w Kawi 12.5hp came with med-lift blades, which is easy enough to rip the old leaves out of the lawn. Electric mower just rides right over them, cutting nothing. On the plus side, it's very quiet, very light. Good for a dry day with only light material mulching. The 6Ah 80V Battery suffers in the wet, too much weight of material for the power-thirsty motor to chew on. Wet performance is sub-40% at best. Might as well spend the extra money and get the real deal. Even as a homeowner a true 36" commercial grade would last trouble free for all time. If you think a real mower is too expensive, my brand new (then) only cost $1750 clearance, and never broke down once in 5 years of making money. Would easy pay 5K for a replacement, the electric mower is no substitute if you care about cleanup suction or turf lift/cut quality/wet performance. All that said, the 80V has been consistent for what it is. Piece of crap with the rear-wheels locking up (common Greenworks issue) but good enough if you get used to it. Simply no contest between the toy-80V and the real thing tho. If you have a large yard, don't mess around with future bigbox returns. I strongly encourage anyone to spend the extra money and get the real thing. Even Hustler has come out with a 34" budget stander with homeowner-hydrodrostatic transmission. That would be better by far. The Zt-1800 trans is tried and true for a few bucks more. I have the geared model, called "Peerless" which exceeds specs all week all year. Never failed ever, and pushes the machine uphill ramps into the truck for post-work loading many x per day.

I bet for a business the pay off is pretty amazing. Not only because of gas prices but long term maintenance is also likely cheaper/easier and in theory you could have a solar trailer that charges it for "free"; they are significantly more expensive than a typical mower. I'd sooner pay somebody to mow my lawn than buy and expensive mower anyways. so it's a win for me.

Ok I’m confused. If it’s a two man crew how does it double? I understand it should be common sense, but the overhead doesn’t double. They can share the truck and equipment.

I'M REPOSTING THIS FROM ABOUT A YEAR AGO. MANY PEOPLE HAVE THANKED ME SO I THOUGHT I'D POST IT ON EVERY EGO BATTERY REPIAR VIDEO "THE BANG TRICK WORKED .SO glad I saw the comments about banging the battery from about a foot off the ground and dropping it. IT WORKED I had THREE bad batteries. ALL THREE have been working GREAT since May and I recharge and use the OFTEN. HOLY GUACAMOLE. Those three bad ones were here for over a year. I bought two news ones for 200 bucks a piece but something told me NOT to throw those bad ones out. THREE bad batteries now working PERFECTLY for five months with CONSTANT charging. I have the lawn mower, leaf blower and snow blower and I use the blower daily and the lawn mower once per week. HUGE area. SO glad I was the comments about BANGING the batteries. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU"

I have this mower. I changed to a single lithium 48 volt battery and the mower is complete different. It has no power loss and it cuts anything with no speed loss.prior to the lithium battery it was a struggle to get through a job with taller grass. The battery is a big limit to this machine. Change the battery, easy to do. I had to buy a new charger but the mower is so much better now it is worth it. I got 2 years of use with the original batteries but I was draining them everything else I used it so it was severe. These lithium batteries have a load potential that is a game changer.

We have this mower, and the original lead acid batteries won't charge so I'm interested to swap out for a lithium battery. Did you follow the instructions from Anoraker or someone else? I saw a video with instructions for RM480 which maybe a different model, older/bigger?

If you don't care about using the self propel feature can you recommend it for a homeowner? The wider deck would make mowing faster and it's still very compact.

Hi, I got that mower and the blades turn but the forward and reverse it will not move. I figure drive controller. About the batteries what do you think about two 24v 50ah lithium batteries? would it be easier to hook up? Another guy did 4 lithium batteries and bought a charger that hooks up to the charging port. It seems that you bought one lithium battery and a new charger and this works??? Nice videos. I am a home owner not commercial.

Doesn't work out. You are dividing the insurance, maintenance and mileage over a 5 year term. Along with the total cost of the vehicle. When the insurance,, maintenance and mileage are ongoing in each of the 5 year running costs.

Brand new Ego trimmer. The charge lasted 20 minutes. I found this video and comments when I looked it up to see if it is common. Wow! Stuff all over the Internet about Ego batteries. Time for some consumer protections to kick in and fix this problem since, from what I am seeing, Ego isn't handling it themselves.
