Jay to me just seems very sloppy. Trying to hard to play like Joey, and that’s not style or speed.

Gawd Jay is so fn sloppy

Both are great drummers but I feel Eloy is a better fit for Slipknot. This isn't to put down Jay He's great too

Sometimes I feel like Jay's double kick is a liiiiittle off, by just a bit? Can't say it's sloppy or anything like that, but is definitely not spot on.

apesar de o eloy ser melhor q o jay, ate por ser mais o estilo da banda, isso nao tira o fato do jay ser ruim, muito pelo contrario, o jay ta tocando um ABSURDO no suicidal, e inclusive tocou recentemente no brasil com os caras, so n era mt a peça certa para o slipknot

Eloy is a far better drummer, but Jay's kit (especially his snare) sounds much better imo.

Jays double bass leaves a lot to be desired in some instances. It’s very inconsistent in spots.

I would like to say that Jay was a really good drummer for SlipKnoT, talented and also with great creativity, it was a good replacement for Joey (RIP) even though Joey will be forever the best and no one will replace him, I was "happy" that Jay was keeping the same line that Joey started. That being said, I feel kinda sorry for Jay because the beast that is now blasting the drums, is eclipsing his entire carrer in SlipKnoT. Eloy is in a league of his own and in my personal opinion, one of the greatest drummers out there, and certainly, the one with the best technique, speed and heavyness in SlipKnoT. I hope that SlipKnoT keeps this line that they seem to be following, Im sure Eloy will bring some really tasty stuff, lets hope for the best 🤟

Eloy's timing is ungodly. It's crazy hearing side by sides, he makes this look like childs play.

Jay: completely removes or replaces double bass sections because they're too difficult. Eloy: adds MORE double bass because it's too boring. These two guys are in completely different leagues.

So many brazilians speaking good of eloy and saying hes better than jay 🤣🤣 no wonder why u over-populated 3rd world country with so much poverty. It all starts in the brain. Just enjoy them both, different styles, different songs which requires different tempos. Dont just sit and cry like prostitutes sayinf ronaldo is better than messi. We know Jay is messi, we know Jay is the goat.

I get all the praise for Eloy, but how long can he keep this up? This looks very physical.

Jay’s performance is actually embarrassing. Not only for him but for the entire band for having kept him in the band for so long even though he wasn’t able to play the songs at least as they were recorded. Eloy not only can play everything Joey has recorded exactly as it was recorded but with only a couple shows he was able to put some of his own influences and marks into the song: the ghost notes and the syncopation for ex. We’re talking about two completely different levels of drumming, guys.
