У Ларсена ферзь и ладья оказались вне игры поэтому Таль выиграл

Great point! Larsen's pieces were out of play, which allowed Tal to take control of the game with his brilliant tactical skills. Do you have any thoughts on the key moment of the match?

Trapping the Bishop at 5:15 would have enabled easy queening of the pawn
@TheChessTutor4 күн бұрын
Thank you for your insightful observation! At 5:15, trapping the bishop could indeed have been an excellent option to facilitate the pawn's promotion. This highlights the depth of the game and the tactical choices available. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

I think the player with black should have resigned when he had a bishop and pawns down
@TheChessTutor5 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment! In fact, Mikhail Tal's opponent resigned early, but I decided to continue the game to provide a learning opportunity for beginners to understand how to capitalize on an advantageous position and turn it into a decisive win. I appreciate your opinion and hope you enjoyed the analysis!

2:42 here is where I disagree with Huebner: I'd played a3; or Kh2 at least (instead of Qg2). That's exactly what Tal wanted: to tuck white Q behind the scene!! And that's what happened! After Ng3, white Q is behind scene, its power is useless now, and as a result, white's Queen wing is now terribly weak (not much defending). Perfect for a predator...Then an eagle came down from the air, fast and deadly attack! White swan was caught resting in his own shadow! . EDITS: also, @2:49, must be. blunder of white (b3??)? a3 would be a right move, I supposed.

did Larsen play it till checkmate?
@TheChessTutor11 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Bent Larsen did not play the game until checkmate; he resigned early. Resignation in chess is common when a player realizes their position is lost and there’s no way to recover. However, we continued the game in the video to demonstrate the final moves for beginners and help them learn. I hope you found the explanation helpful!
@pot_kivach16010 күн бұрын
@ that helps. It just would be as helpful indicating in the video point WHEN Larsen resigned.

Good game 👍. Why black didn't resigned as queen was made?
@TheChessTutor11 күн бұрын
Good game! Some might wonder why Black didn't resign when a queen was made. In fact, Black resigned earlier in the actual game, but the match was extended here to demonstrate to beginners how the position develops and why it's completely winning for White. It's a valuable learning experience to see the power of a queen in such endgames.

Velimirovic played great till 4:53. I'd played Ra1 (instead Be5). Then after white's (Qb3) push black pawn a2. Promotion to a Q would be imminent.
@pot_kivach16014 күн бұрын
wow! seems Velimirovic was one move late. 5:02 He played Ra1!! Only after black B is away unblocking Q escape to a best field.

Thank you for your excellent analysis! Your observation about the move Ra1 is very insightful and shows a deep level of understanding. Indeed, small timing errors can be decisive in such games. I’m glad you shared your thoughts and look forward to more of your observations in the future!
