Quietly These are my old neighborhoods. The house is not visible in this film but was still affected by flashing from the propellers early in the morning. Otherwise, it was the annoying noise from the highway and the trains that was the worst.

It’s by the north-east side of the runway. You take the exit from the R40 highway and first drive towards the airport. Just after McDonald’s you take the first exit to the right going uphill. Then in the roundabout you take the first exit to the right into Logistikvägen and continue driving there until you get close to the dead-end of the road. You can park the car on one of the parking spots to the right next to the road or turn left into the parking lot of the last logistics building you see on your left. When entering the parking lot, turn right immediately and drive to the end of the building and you can park your car on one of the parking spots. Then you walk around the corner of the building and continue on the gravel road leading to the spotting place. It’s a few hundred meters but after the uphill part you will see the wooden shelter to the right. That’s the spotting place. Some people drive nearly all the way to the shelter but I think the gravel road is intended for the security guards so I usually park the car in one of the parking lots

Not sure if Kockum Sonics still offers this siren, but HQE Systems here in the US apparently sells these with SiRcom controllers. No known ETs have gone up in the US to my knowledge.

Interesting! Yeah I don’t think this model is in production anymore and I haven’t heard of any in the US. It’s fantastic though that some of these still are in service. Old is gold!

Hej igen😀. Du hittade till hyddan, ser jag. Kanoners och fint väder fick du också. Lördagar och söndagar brukar vara lugna. Undrar vad som tvingade turken till en go around? Jag vet inte hur du jobbar, men fredagen verkar den mest hektiska dagen under veckan med över 22 000 passagerare. Även övriga vardagsmornar är det mycket trafik, enligt frugan som jobbar på flygplatsen. I alla avseenden ett fint klipp:-). Tack så mycket🙂

Hej, tack! Jag körde in på den lilla grusvägen efter vändplatsen och stannade vid vägbommen för att parkera på grusstumpen men hittade inte den. Så jag körde tillbaka och parkerade på den nya fickparkeringen bakom de stora maskinerna vid byggtomten. Det var lite roligt, jag promenerade sedan tillbaka till vändplatsen och uppför den lilla grusvägen. Vad jag inte visste var att den tog slut efter en liten bit och att man fick klättra ner 😂 Jag trodde den gick hela vägen till hyddan. Man kan alltså köra in genom logistikbyggnadens parkering och in på den stora grusvägen. Tror det går bra att köra där och parkera antingen vid uppförsbacken eller vid vägkanten strax innan uppförsbacken. Bästa stället jag stått på med fin utsikt både över hela banan och omgivningen! Tusen tack för tipset om hyddan! Jag jobbar i Viared till 17:00 nästa vecka och skulle kunna köra till hyddan direkt från jobbet på fredag om det går många plan då

@@mrwindz Hahaha😀. Jag ber så mycket om ursäkt. Jag inser att jag var otydlig. Det var just den lilla grusstumpen jag parkerade bilen på😀. Sen gick jag tills den tog slut, klättrade ner till den större grusvägen och gick bort till hyddan. Ja. Jag såg när jag gick där att man kan köra in på grusvägen via parkeringsplatsen. Skulle en vakt inte gilla att man står på grusvägen är det inte värre än att man bara flyttar bilen. Ja. Fredagar eftermiddagar och kvällar kan det nog vara en hel del flyg. Har du appen Flightradar24? Det var så lite så:-).Många tror nog att den fortfarande är stängd och det är verkligen en suverän plats för flightspotting🙂. Vem vet? En dag kanske vi syns där?😀

Haha ingen fara! Jag har Flightradar24 och har full koll på när planen kommer och skärmdumpar flygen för att komma ihåg informationen när jag redigerar videoklippen sen. Tittar även på Swedavia för att planera. Ja vem vet, kanske vi råkar vara där samtidigt nån gång!

@@mrwindz OK👍. Tidigare hade de en planespottinghydda vid norra ändan av rullbanan alldeles intill Schenkers stora byggnad. Det var som att traska över savannen för att ta sig dit, men jag var där ett par gånger och man hade en fin utsikt över bansystemet därifrån. Nu har de expanderat logistikområdet kraftigt sedan dess, men enligt Google Maps tycks hyddan finnas kvar. Den är åtminstone utmärk. Dock vet jag inte riktigt hur man tar sig dit idag eller om den fortfarande är tillgänglig för flygentusiaster. Kan vara värt att kolla upp😀.

@@janbanan7768Jag känner till hyddan men har läst att den tyvärr inte finns längre sen 2017 för att det skulle byggas nån ”bussines park” där. Taget ur www.spotterswiki.com: Update July 2017: ”The shelter does not exist any longer. All forest between Schenker and the highway was cut down for construction of a business park. Once this park is completed (expected in 2018), possibilities to watch and to photograph aircrafts landing on RWY21 in the morning could exist.” Det är därför jag står vid järnvägen eller infarten till Vrestaby på södra sidan

@@mrwindz Den senaste recensionen om hyddan lades in för bara 3 veckor sedan och så mycket närmare kan de inte bygga eftersom det skulle inkräkta på inflygningszonen. Men jag ska till flygplatsen i morgon, så jag kan kolla om hyddan är tillgänglig. Jag hör av mig🙂.

Nice wind farm. It was actually planned by RES, the company I work for 👍🏼 I would like to see the turbines on the 103 m tower 😉 In general the Siemens Gamesa turbines seem very loud, almost like an aircraft turbine ^^

Yeah it’s a beautiful place indeed! Oh you work for RES? Nice! Were you there when the wind farm was being built? I just realised the information sign I walked past said RES and VEIDEKKE in the corner. I forgot to include that videoclip 😅 I think two of the turbines are 20 meters lower than the others according to some newspaper. Seems a bit low to be in a forest, maybe it could hit the trees 😂 Unfortunately I don’t know where those ones are. The turbine I walked up to indeed sounded like an aircraft sometimes that could be heard quite far away. I think Vestas wind turbines sometimes sound like an aircraft too. Thanks for watching! ^^

@@mrwindz I work for RES in Germany. That’s why I know the wind farm. I’m surprised the turbines in Sweden all have such low towers, we always go for the highest hub height. All of our projects with Siemens Gamesa were changed to Vestas or Nordex because Siemens is having a lot of technical problems apparently 😕

Outside the town Falköping there are two V136 ones on 80 meter high towers 😌 I don’t know if I will stand underneath one of those again, that was scary as hell 😅 Also I read about the technical problems in the newspapers. Hope they’ve fixed it

@@mrwindz jag var vid södervärn zonen så det jag kunde höra var en tuta ganska nära men efter så fortsatte en tuta från långt håll (nordöst tror jag) så jag undrade lite. Jag är fortfarande ganska ung och tutan var långt bort så jag vet inte hur man anmäler ett sånt fel.

Unfortunately I don’t know. They’ll probably be refurbished and sold to another country like Ireland or Italy. At least the Vestas ones. I don’t know about the NEG Micon as the manufacturer doesn’t exist anymore. The remaining wind turbines by them are being served by Vestas nowadays. If they won’t get sold abroad they will probably get scrapped.
