Thank you for watching! The ship stays in the lake. Many passengers got off on boats at the lake and went on the excursions to the Pacific Ocean. It was a long day for them, but many said it was worth it! We pick up those passengers in Colon at night. Going through the Panama Canal was a bucket list event for us! If it is hot and humid and you need a cool place to watch the locks....go into the fitness center, you will get a great view! Have a fun cruise!

Thank you for watching! The kettle was already in our room when we arrived. We loved this stateroom! We loved it so much that we reserved the same stateroom on Apex's sister ship the Edge out of Sydney, Australia to New Zealand. A bucket list trip for us! You will love this room. It is so convenient to Eden! We loved the bar staff there! Have fun on your cruise!

Nice , my wife was born on Spike Island and lived in Midleton. We were there in August. Moving back as soon as possible. You picked the right tour. Cobh is also a great place to visit. Too bad you didn't have more time to meet some of the locals. Looks like you had a great time though. Safe travels.

Yes, the Ancient Ephesus tour included the site entrance tickets, since it was a cruise ship sponsored excursion. Have fun! And make sure you wear very good shoes, because we saw several people slipping and falling down on the marble floors! (If you re-watch the video, there are several ambulance phone number signs!)

Hi there, They have updated our tour now to include an hour to shop around in Fira and then they will take us back by motorcoach to the Athinos port, so we don't have to worry about the line at the cable cars. They did put an option in there, that we could stay in Fira and just notifiy the tour operator. So, I was wondering if an hour was enough time to do shopping in Fira or if we could take our chances with the cable cars down if we stay later. We have a 1 pm arrival that day and depart at 11 pm. The other 2 ships in port leave at 6, so I think the cable cars will be busy around 3ish and we would only be "competing" with our ship for the cable cars. Do you think it' s risky to stay later in Fira? I would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for watching! You will have a great time in Santorini. If your cruise ship is the only one left after 6pm I would recommend staying and going back on the cable cars. One hour is not enough time in Fira. That is my opinion. 😊

Hello! After you get off of the cruise ship, you will walk two minutes to the stand where you purchase the Seabus tickets. It is very close!

The price for "Taste of Sorrento and Pompeii- Small Group" was $329 US per person. This was a very pricey excursion. Prior to the pandemic it was $165 US per person. 😰

The excursion description states that you have 90 minutes to tour Oia. Is that enough time? I read that the shops in Oia don’t open until 10am.

Our tour was one of the first buses to Oia in the morning. Our goal was to get the iconic photos of the blue domes etc. without many people there. If you and your family want to shop, then the 90 minute time frame in Oia will be too short. However, there are many shop and restaurants in Fira which is where the tour ends. That’s where we ate lunch and shopped for souvenirs before taking the cable car down to the tender area. Hope this helps! Have fun on your Mediterranean cruise with your family! 😊

Thank you for your information because the Royal Caribbean description was not clear as to which port you will be tendered to. Our “first” cruise takes place in August 2024. Our family/party consists of 5 virgin cruisers. I am doing my research but it can be difficult to navigate thru the weeds of information.

Did you have much time to shop in Sorrento? Did you wish you had a guide in Pompeii? I’m hearing it’s best to have a tour guide. One more question. Did they take you to the cameo factory? I hear they take up too much time and you don’t get to go through the museum in Pompeii.

@sarajohnson2589 Hi, they took us to a wood shop in sorrento. I wasn't interested in that I felt we had enough time . Two hours to shop. We had about 12 people per tour guide which was great. So we had a guide. I don't think they took us to a cameo factory. They took us to a wood shop in sorrento and a shell factory at pompeii

I am very interested in this tour but am worried about the amount of walking. Did you enter from the museum entrance, walk all of the way down to the Sistene Chapel, then have to walk BACK to the beginning of the museum in order to see the contents of the museum? The empty Sistene Chapel sounds divine, but I don't think my legs have it in them to travel the length of the museum in essence three times. Am I missing something about where you enter or exit to keep you from having to go that amount of distance?

Thank you for watching my video! You do not have to worry about the amount of walking. Once you enter the museum entrance, you will be touring the Vatican museum first, then the Sistine Chapel where you will be able to sit on benches while viewing all the beautiful murals and paintings up above you. Then since you are on the Pristine Sistine tour, you will take the shortcut to St. Peter's Basilica. (The tour runs only one way, you will never back track where you have been.) Hope this helps! Yes, the bus is waiting at the port, you do the bus tour first to Oia and then you end in Fira where you can shop and eat lunch and then take the cable car down. The cost of the cable car is included in your Royal Caribbean Cruise excursion. Hope this helps! 😊

The room at the Hilton LAX had a king size bed. Special touches were the blackout curtains and the sound resistant windows. Had a very peaceful night even though the airport is close by.
