Great ranking. Halfway through and i only really disagree with black pnather. I like his muscles but he looks a bit bland to me otherwise. Also i don’t like spiderman too. Looks not good somehow.

Think of it how when the avengers went back in time in endgame, it created what we saw as Loki S1 and Loki S2. Now Steve going back and 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 creates what we’ll see as Fantastic Four: First Steps. That’s how I took it when you guys were chatting it up and explaining it. I like the theory, it’s interesting and different and really ties everything in.

You crazy !!! 😂😂😂 I want to debate you about this movie and your placement in the trilogy.... It should go 1 , 2, and 3 being the best.... But it goes 1 being the best 2 then 3. Storytelling is everything. Battlefield earth is a better movie then this 🤷♂️

Having Vincent absolutely does matter, it just wasn’t handled by the same people. Give the people who made born again and punisher the Echo project and he takes out people during that festival scene and takes them out cold during that confrontation scene with Maya’s family in the farm thing when she does that weird mind thing (which prob doesn’t happen).

Great conversation guys! Pierre as John Stewart is perfect casting, I really can't wait to see his chemistry with Chandler's Hal. Honestly, Lanterns might have me a bit more intrigued than Superman does. Armor Wars needs to go. If they really wanted to expand on the MCU, then Blade is the one to do that, but they need to get their crap together on that or it will be flushed down the toilet as well. I pray that those rumours of Doom and Spider-Man are not real. Doom is not a complete character without his relationship with Reed, and if they completely scrap all of that, then Doom is officially a fumbled character. For Spider-Man 4, all those rumours are so dumb. I don't trust anything until we get it from an official source, but a part of me thinks some of it might be true. Just give Tom a Symbiote trilogy. Movie 1 he gets it, movie 2 he fights the corruption, movie 3 is Venom.

I think the issue with prior comic readers is the elevated expectations. The movies are almost entirely made for newcomers/a fresh take. Having prior expectations as to what a story should be and/or how and what a character should behave like breeds inevitable disappointment. When the movie is done well like in spiderverse, dvw, or infinity war, knowing the source material does elevate the experience however, when the movie is trash, there is a greater level of disappointment.

At one point Marvel had confirmed that Your friendly neighborhood spiderman is in fact canon to the MCU, at least when it was under the “freshman year” title. Maybe with the reworked title / project that may not be the case anymore? Thanks for commenting and catching that!
