My guess is the map generation was too small, but I have no idea.

@wyrdcyko that was my assumption too, that it couldn't find valid locations for the pods, so it just gave up.

Its a failsafe GSG added. If it can't find a valid location for both after checking, it just auto completes to avoid depriving anyone of their event loot and progress.

Man there is something truly special about this specific encounter. In a game FILLED with emotional moments, none ever quite affected me as much as this one little interaction that is completely optional. I was 14 when I first played this game and something about the rain in the background, the lone statue and that music just completely emotionally destroyed me. I am a 22 year old man now, and listening to this song even now just ALWAYS brings out tears no matter what. It's so strange as no other song gets me quite like this, thank you Undertale for giving me an experience no other game or piece of media has ever done before or has done since

Lol af! I had one time where I was literally in my vampire lord form, I think it was a courier. He just forced a conversation, while in the middle of a troll coming toward him.
