NASA did self landing rockets in the 90s. Space X promised us people on the moon by now. we gave him gov $$$ and he caught an empty rocket. its 2024, we got flying everything. i feel like this should be easy.

SpaceX = Simple? Nah... SpaceX may be trying to make it more efficient with self landing rockets, but it's not boiled down "simple" like being alluded. Just complexities that are now working after much testing and development, unlike Boeing.

And Toby was born a 9 figure CEO or what?
@TheTrevorMauch
@TheTrevorMauch 17 күн бұрын
@AForce295 definitely not. He grew along the way and the company grew with him. He didn't start this company, he was an employee of it. He started in an individual contributor role, invested into growing his skills and network, when the company started to have some challenges, they were looking for a new direction. He took a chance and with the knowledge he'd gained over the handful of years working there, the network he built outside of that company proactively to get around other higher level operators, and the vision he had on the type of leader he wanted to be... he craft a plan that was a huge departure from what the company ever did in the past. They saw his vision and took a chance on him. His bets paid off and the company grew dramatically into a multiple 9 figure per year company. He had to first believe he could do it, he had to have people around him (peers and mentors) who were a few levels above him to help him grow, and he then had to put in the reps to become that leader capable of taking a troubled company into the next level. So no he of course wasn't born a 9 figure CEO, but that's the point of this clip. The company he runs couldn't have gotten there without him first growing his identity. Same w/ each of our businesses.

I respect that thinking. I used to think that way as well. It worked for me until it didn’t. I had money, but trapped myself in a business and job I grew to despise. Full in the bank but empty in the tank. So I switched my thinking to chasing energy instead of money. At first it meant my income went down, but after a year, I loved my work, got energy from it most every day, and my income went 10x what it was before. I’d rather be broke and loving most every day and be full of energy vs rich money wise but looking for an escape from my work every day. That’s just my experience though, may not apply to you.

The advice came from Steve Jobs, he somehow found a way to make it. You’re right from the perspective that we can’t just avoid doing the hard boring work required to make things happen. It’s not a matter of not doing things you’re not excited to do. We all have to. It’s a matter of not settling for a job that pays well but drains our energy and doesn’t light us up for too long. I know lots of financially wealthy people who deep down aren’t fulfilled but they feel they have to keep doing what they’re doing. Steve’s has been a good barometer for me to make sure I don’t settle into something that’s lopsided to the money and lacking energy and fulfillment.

Yep. Don't bring the boss problems, bring solutions. Preferably multiple options. When they pick one, be the one that makes it happen. Boom, you're the problem solver, not the problem creator. You're valuable, and if your boss isn't an idiot, you're valued. Rinse, repeat. Step 3, profit.

David, agreed on Cialdini 👊. Any solid behavior psychology book is really really useful for marketing and sales. On Alex’s books (assuming you mean Hormozi right?), Alex knows his stuff and is smart. I’ve known Alex since his beginning days years back (prob 2015/2016 or so, he and I were in the same mastermind for a few years), so it’s been fun seeing him and Leila grow over the years. Both are wicked smart. His books are good. Anyone who wants to add to their marketing and sales knowledge stack for sure should read them. Alex’s genius is being able to take knowledge, learn and implement fast in the real world (I saw this happen time and time again in his early years), and break the info down into very simple to understand terms. Much of it is similar to Brunsons style of stick characters etc. I personally like it. Very tactical, very easy to consume, actionable. Are there better resources I prefer on offer creation from the old school copywriters and marketers like Claude Hopkins, Ogilvy, Clayton Makepeace, Halbert, etc I’ll share some if those in a future episode if that would be helpful. Let me know and I will get it on the schedule!

Flipping the pain point really resonated with me. There is a self preservation mindset that pulls one to the safety of the known, even if it is not ultimately fulfilling. Is that a self worth preserving? I would argue it is not.

Sores and all types of health problems. People are always tired, sore, worse or dead in record numbers now and ongoing. The evilest Insane portion of rulers and their bribed/controlled helping people screwing up the natural way people are supposed to live. This isn't going to end well for the insane people poisoning humanity and the earth. Also, their bribed/controlled willing helpers. Those are the two worst and worse types of people who will pay the biggest prices. Those who help in it and allow it will pay the price according to their violations also. Enjoy and good luck!
