Sorry if I'm adding to a sea of backseat coaches, but I couldn't help myself. You've got good balance and a good foundation to work with. I think with a small adjustment to your arm swing and wrist you'll see a lot of improvement. Your arm swing comes out pretty far to the left of your body. At the start of your swing, the ball is towards the center of your body. It can't move backwards without first going around you, so during your backswing you have to tug it way outside. During your down swing, the ball wants to follow a pendulum motion and come back towards the middle of your body. You then have to fight it and pull the ball back out towards your target, otherwise the ball misses right big time. This introduces a lot of inconsistencies and wastes energy that could go into your ball. To fix it, I would try pushing the ball to the left more on your pushaway. You want to basically imagine a line that goes from the starting position of your left foot all the way to your target, and keep the ball on that line during your entire swing. The easiest adjustment you can make for your wrist is to get a brace of some kind. Your wrist is completely broken by the time you release the ball, and the lack of revs is hurting your entry angle and causing carry problems (i.e. 5 pin). Low revs are not a death sentence in the modern game, and high revs are honestly overrated. You just need a little more gas for the engine to do its work, and the easiest way to get that is a brace that will keep your wrist straighter and let your fingers lift up on the ball more. I struggled with revs for a LONG time, and was able to carry a 200 average with only a bit more revs than what you have. A brace will get you there. If you find yourself with a really consistent shot and still want the higher revs I would look at some of the videos from JanProShop, since the technique he shows does not require a lot of strength. Keep working at it, and above everything else, consistency is what matters. Find a pro bowler you like and keep analyzing how their form is different or similar to yours. You're making good progress with your practice, enjoy the climb.

Pro Tip #1: Do not take bowling advice from "experts" on KZbin. You have recorded your practice so you can see for yourself the differences between when you make a good shot and when you make a bad one. The biggest inconsistency in your shots is your right arm is all over the place. On your good shots, it's out parallel to your body. On your bad shots, it's down, behind you, or someplace else. It's fine to be six inches behind the foul line. I do it and I have a very long slide, as in two feet. It's fine to have low speed and low revs. You can change balls or ball surface to achieve a different ball reaction. Your ball is never going to roll out, as in run out of energy, before it hits the pins. The 5-7 or 5-10 leaves are the result of the ball requiring a different entry angle to the pocket, not a result of the ball having too much forward roll. Possibly the two greatest bowlers of all time, Walter Ray Williams Jr and Liz Johnson, do not have much side roll on their shots. Consistency is the key to your success, not trying to be cool or edgy with speed and revs. Keep practicing. You are improving even from your first videos.

I don't know if you have a coach working with you. If you would push the ball forward in time with your second step it would greatly help your timing and it would let your arm swing back further. I think your arm swing is short because you're trying to catch your feet.

two things that might help : 1 : try moving to the first set of dots as with you being so far back, you are basically running up to the line, when you dont need to. to find your actual starting point or give or take......from the foul like, take 4 steps and then slide. that is where you should be standing. this will get you to slow down a bit and you wont be running to the line. 2nd thing , and its hard to tell in the video of what kind of ball that you are using....but you need to get something that will get into a roll a bit more. what you have now is not doing that at all and is doing more skidding and then when it does hit the pocket, there is no drive, and that is why you are leaving 5-10 splits.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I am actually taking steps to improve my forward roll. I will be posting a new practice video in the next couple days. I am hoping you will be able to notice a huge improvement. It is something I am very proud of.

You need to wear a wrist device. That will keep the ball cupped . You can’t bowl if you don’t cup the ball a little . The wrist has to be straight the entire time . Ur wrist is open at release .
