I know of a (now patched.) method to AFK train alteration! The laser beam of death! In that one temple where you guide a beam of light deeper into the temple to reach the end, standing in the beam is a painful idea...But it DOES hit you for damage 60 times a second. Which, combined with earning xp each TIME you get hit while using stoneflesh or Oakflesh. Meant a REALLY fast way to level up Alteration while standing doing almost nothing! (You did have to cast heal a few times.) It has been patched since then, but I don't know WHICH patch fixed it. Nowadays aparently you only earn xp while near an enemy? Over time or something? Didn't use to be this way.

You can level restoration 0-100 in about 20 minutes if you find a group of skeletons and cast repel lesser undead on them all constantly.

Huh. Ironically I think the method you used on Shadowmere could have doubled for your restoration skill. One hand casts flames, the other casts healing hands. So you damage and heal at the same time.

When I want to max out everything, I get the Lover Stone, and the Transmute spell, turn iron into gold while training Alteration, then Smith them gold ore into ingots and necklaces/rings, then Enchant those jewelry and sell them. This process trains Alteration, Smithing, Enchanting,and Speech. And omce I've collected hundreds of compatible Alchemy ingredients, I spam the Craft potion button. Pickpocket everyone. Ebony Blade+Dragons+Elemental Fury(enhanced attack speed) Shout for quick Two Handed. Honestly, I almost never use Skill trainers cause I forget they exist.

also banded armor is usually the best item to level smithing and speech just go to dawnstar with a banded dragon plate fully upgraded and sell it to the cat merchant and steal it from their chest rinse and repeat

oh and when you level one handed don't forget to perk dual flurry before you let brynlof out of his cage and just sneak stab with an iron dagger for some reason it is insanly faster with orcs and cats

You should be able to gain skills naturally, without exploits or grinding after ~100-200 hours of gameplay. Realistically, you're not meant to gain xp quickly, you're supposed to gain levels naturally as you play. The inherent problem with this method of skill calculations is that people will be inclined to do the same action thousands of times to power level, which can make the game feel more tedious than it is. If a player simply enjoys the game, the skills will follow. But here's an overall breakdown of the skills: Value driven XP: Item Value: Enchanting, Smithing, Alchemy, Speech, Pickpocketing Total Damage Value: One-Handed, Two-Handed, Archery, Destruction Damage Mitigated Value: Light Armor, Heavy Armor, Block, Restoration (Wards) Schools: Depends on School and Spell (Level of Target, Magicka Consumption, Number of Target(s), etc) Sneak: Distance traveled undetected and number of targets OR Sneak Damage dealt. Lockpicking: Level of Lock. In most cases, the "Value" cannot exceed a target(s) health, including the player. The "Value" can be based on the total number of targets. Ex: Using an AOE spell that hits every enemy in a room. Value for gold however (such as speech), is calculated by the entire gold amount. Some Examples: - Player cannot gain XP from casting heal at full HP. - Player cannot gain XP from casting ward and taking no damage. - if an enemy has 160 health and the player deals 1200 damage, only 160 damage is used for calculations. - If any spell is used that requires a valid target(s), you would gain no XP. - If any spell is used that requires damage to be dealt, no XP is gained if damage is not calculated. Value for gold however (such as speech), is calculated by the entire gold amount. There are some oversights which can "break" these intended mechanics. Such as casting "Soul Trap" on a corpse. The issue lies in the simplicity of some of the calculations, where valid checks are not performed on all actions.

oh, 19:30 reminded me: in some Dwarven Ruins, sometimes enemies called "spheres" will pop out of strange gadgets in the walls, unroll, and attack you... i think those gadgets look suspiciously similar to the things the "little Sisters" in the BIoshock games use to get around!

a simple trick i think you overlooked: one of MY favorite tricks is to ride a carriage to Markarth, then walk NE. you will quickly find the "lover's stone". activate it to get a bonus, *all skills improve 15% faster* ! -that's not supposed to stack with "rested" or "lover's embrace", but if you can get hold of the Aetherium Crown, you can get around that. that might count as an Exploit, however. i also like to go to any Dwemer ruin, collect things that can be turned into Dwarven Bars, then make thousands of Dwarven Arrows. "large plate metal", "small plate metal" and "bent dwemer scrap metal" are the best. you can also use "large dwemer strut", "large decorative dwemer strut", and "solid dwemer metal", but they are VERY heavy, so i usually ignore them.

No the impossible challenge is doing that on a solsthiem region lock. Get all skill to 100.and when your ready for the level 271 grind. Get a follower. A alchemly loop weapon that does atleast 10k physical damage. And put on 2 pieces of light AND heavy armor and block. Your ass gonna reach 100 in light, heavy armor and block with 1 to 2 hits. Legendary then repeat. It is by far the fastest exploit to level up. 3 skills in 1 without fast travel loading screens takeing up your time Edit: enhanting is super easy, get something that can paralysis, go to solsthiem, go to neloth, train, paralysis and while hes "getting up" 100% pickpocket sucssess no matter what. Level up. Repeat. Telekinesis eploit or unbound storms from arcane acssessories or just sell a resto pot. For millions of gold for speech

To do list: - Pay Grelka in Light Armour to 75 then sell her stuff - Train w/ follower trainers for free (Faendal & Aela as examples) - Smithing rises faster with value, like alchemy, speechcraft & pickpocket - Alteration - detect life or telekinesis and fast travel across the map - Archery - go talk to Angi at her cabin; train with Faendal to 50; train with Aela to 75 or just use it to 80; get Black Book from Solstheim to double skill book rewards; read all skills books to 90; Oghma to 95 and Angi's training to 100 -enchant banish and sell ... Or just play the game.

So to answer why Ralof tells you to go up the tower is because if you look at images of helgon the walls have pathways that are connected from doors up the tower. I’m assuming he was trying to escape from these walls.

i'm about 2-3 days away from finishing MY run, amusingly i have about the same rules except that i have a nice town with a smith that sells 200 iron ingots. sure i still have to travel all over for the soul gems to fuel the mad gold i need to do this without going insane due to timeloss look i GET why this is a "no go" for the purist but seriously what more glory is there to be gained from choosing to just travel all over instead of buying it in 1 place? xD same mechanics, same gold, just save you & your pc some time

Its easier to lvl Smithing by 1 Get Iron Ore 2 get the Spell to change the Iron to Silver and then to Gold 3 just Craft Goldrings and Amulettes

Glass for light armor should not have been your choice, you should use the Deathbrand set, as wearing the whole set gives you an additional 100 to the armor rating. I found it to be the best with a health regen ring, necklace, and healing restoration spell.
