"Once upon a time" was eventually released on "Thulean Mysteries" as "Forebears"; "Thulean Man" = "Epilogue", last track on "BURZUM Uruk hai"...also track 17 of "Thule"...both 'unofficial' releases; "Hoddmimisholt" also on both of the above "unofficial' releases...
@billmcanally7782Ай бұрын
there seems to be a short un-named piece at the end of "Once upon a time" 4:06 that is very beautiful...or is this an addendum to "Once upon a time"?...anyways, great compilation you've put together...Burzum's music suits our northern gray november Ottawa nights and days very well! thanks! much later...that short piece I mentioned is the last 1'20 of "The Sacred Well"...

He's deadly serious, "fanatical" and really quite intelligent. I hope he succeeds, for the merest glimmer of greatness is far too often not at all in our world.

I remember learning about Black Metal, with its unknowable paths leading ever downwards, ever deeper, ever darker. I remember learning about Varg and the others, about what they did, imagined how it must have felt to be part of that special kvlt at that special time. Too much to put into words Its been many years since I got into it, and there is nothing quite like it either. Its not just the music either or the guitars, the drums, the synths, the eerie vocals. You just can't describe this to outsiders. You can't put into words the depth of this genre of music and its surrounding tales and storys and the feelings that it causes. This whole phenomenon is something that gives you the strong urge to share this depth, while being eternally unsharable. You either find your own path towards the black arts or you don't find there at all. It can't be shown to you, you need to get there on your own.

One of the most illuminating comments about our beloved genre that I have ever read. I feel every damn word. I'm a normal fella who goes with friends to nightclubs n stuff, and listen to every genre, but Black Metal is something that one enjoys and discovers in solitude...

I think it’s bullshit that KZbin removed Vargs channel. The guy may have had some undesired views/opinions, but he wasn’t doing anything that went against the standards of KZbin. I miss watching his videos. He started to get more and more politician towards the end but a lot of his earlier vids have me insight in life. I know you can still watch him on bitchute but he seems to have not made as much material since his channel was taken down on here.
