Went looking through my town today (2nd of Jan) and literally everywhere was just about 100% wiped out. My town isn't exactly great for Pokemon Cards but we visited like, 3 card shops and a Walmart and found maybe 10 random booster packs total. The only things places had left really was some over priced starter decks. Picked up a Charizard EX box though just to not go home empty handed and have a nice card.

It's so tough. All I got was some booster bundles I ordered on Target like 3 weeks ago. Haven't seen any 151 or SS the last 2 weeks in stores

The only times I see 151 are in the Pokémon vending machines. SS is just a LITTLE easier to find. The holidays and fulfillments are not forgiving

My husband found 15 Surging Sparks boxes at Scheels because the Pokemon nerds never think about looking at Scheels😂😂 Scheels wouldn’t even pop up in their minds to go check

Regidrago is suuupper strong right now some one may come correct me but it’s just such a difficult deck to adpt to in game and playing against it on live I either get absolutely destroyed or it’s super close

Yeah, the deck’s numerous attacks have answers to a lot of Pokémon. It’s usually never a dink and dunk match for me

Congrats on the pulls! I would say that my best pulls for this year are the Bulbasaur illustration rare from 151, and Skyla ultra rare from Shining Fates! Just started collecting again so looking forward to the new year and new sets coming out!

Honestly yeah I initially came for the card openings but those are a dime a dozen on KZbin at this point. I stay around because of your personality and obvious enjoyment of what you're doing far more than for the cards themselves

Planning on going first tournament coming weeks but dont wanna spend money on a huge sealed tcg box with damage counters and stuff. They cost like 100€ here. How common are the damage counter apps to track stuff? Do ppl allow it? Or is it even socially accepatable? Id have my phone laying beside me with the counters but it can seem confusing for opponent and missing vital hits due to small screen

I’d say the easiest is to ask your local shop for some to purchase! You could use your opponents too! Honestly any regular dice you have can work. 1=10 or 100x No phones tho! That’s illegal.

I really enjoy your videos. You mentioned how you are a “casual collector” and I think that’s one of the reasons I really enjoy the videos! I’d much rather watch you open up 1 product then watch somebody else open up 100 or 1000 packs because of the attention to detail and time you take to appreciate it. They are! The only difference is you have to shuffle the cards yourself. Without the HUD too, it’s a little harder to keep track of what you’ve done, hence why you should use coins as counters! I wish you luck!

Scarlet/violet is the gen that got me back into pokemon! I mean I did play sword/shield and sun/moon but I was never really invested in the games. This gen brought back into competitive both in the games as well the TCG. I also enjoyed the single player as well including the DLC. Kieran's story was a blast and the finale of the base game was mindblowing! I also really loved how the main quest was split into 3 parts and you could complete them in any order you like. Makes replaying them so much more fun. Sword/shield feel so lackluster when compared to scarlet/violet imo

Yeah I appreciated the more detailed story in SV. The DLC definitely helped changed my overall joy of the main game. But yeah, I’m super excited to see what we got cooking next in the VG scene with the next legends game!
