I’ve only lived here for 2.5 years but but my family has lived her and in NA so I’ve been coming her my whole life also I am a mom of a 7 year old! What I can say is A plus for the elementary school system especially the special education program. My son has very bad adhd and they help him so much it may be the only reason I stay here because it is basically impossible for a one income family to afford anything to live at the moment. But another thing that is great here is the town park and recreation!! John the director is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met he’s so good with the kids and always will work with families if they need help they literally will not leave a child behind in summer camp if they can’t afford it. I come from cape cod and no town on cape would ever do that! Also my house is less then a minute drive from the wrentham outlets which also includes a gas station, unos pizzeria, Cracker Barrel, Dunkin’ Donuts, and tavern in the square for restaurants plus all those stores!! We also are only a few miles from the WW2 park which is also a petting zoo! The movie theater and bowling ally are both only a few miles also! Within 10 minutes in every direction you can get to literally every store you want because we have the mall the outlets target Walmart tjmax Lowe’s like I’ve never seen so many stores in one area! The negative is basically Zero affordable housing or subsidized housing for anyone unless “elderly”. Also no public transportation for Plainville most surrounding towns use the town bus but for some reason it does not come to Plainville leaving someone without a license or a car have to pay a Lyft or Uber every where. If I could afford to buy a house here I would in a second I LOVE it here!! Also Rhode Island is only FIVE minute drive!!

Norwood is creating a series of beautiful walking trails that showcase refurbished brooks and wetlands in the fashion of a green necklace. Beautiful views of blue hills and Neponset valley, airport sight seeing trips. Golf course, canoe rentals on Neponset river. Automobile (lol) tons of great jobs. Immaculate town warm people.

Awesome Town but outrageously expensive. Prices are higher than she said taxes are a horror, lovely little town. Love Sharon lake

I have lived in Plainville for 10 years now. I absolutely love it here. Sadly at 60k a year owning is still not an option, and rents seem to be getting higher and higher approaching Newton levels (where I grew up), so it is slowly becoming unaffordable to people with average/normal salaries unfortunately. A couple of local attractions you missed: Mad Moose Saloon in North Attleboro has great food and drink, and Tasty's bagles, coffee and more on 152 has great coffee and hires and sources locally too.

Don’t move here, plainville is the scum of the earth, I live here and it’s the biggest mistake of my life, the plainville police department is absolutely vile, they are corrupt take “donations” as legal bribes so people can freely threaten violence with weapons, drive piss drunk and try to run people over. The plainville police also has officers who have openly said they enjoy ruining people and chasing them out of town, one even said that race is a determining factor in crime. They have quotas and inflate all their numbers to get more money. One cop in town gave himself a 20,000 dollar raise over the course of two years during the pandemic, which the town almost went bankrupt during, I wonder why? The police have also destroyed evidence that they may have potentially caused cancer in people by tearing down a building that was full of asbestos and lead paint and pipes, as well as it was full of harmful molds. They built a new two story station and massive garage that they don’t need so they can increase their budget by inflated numbers and maintenance costs. They also tamper with tapes since they use cassette tapes so they can edit out anything that doesn’t help them. There’s rumors that some of the plainville police commit domestic violence and a couple rumors that a few of them commit sexual harassment. Stay away from plainville this town should be disincorporated as soon as possible. The people are trash, the town has no money, and the police force is wildly corrupt and at the words of some of the police officers themselves, they enjoy causing harm to people whether it’s reputation or bodily harm. Don’t move here and if you live here, get out as soon as possible.

00:40 that’s not norton, and most people from norton wouldn’t drive to Boston, they’d take the train in Attleboro or Mansfield to get there 👍🏻 Driving to Boston at rush hour would take about an hour and a half each way, Providence would take 50 mins each way. Trains would be the fastest and pretty much only way to get to work in Boston (my father did it for 35 years). The public school systems are VERY good. The town has very little to no violent crime, and a beautiful place to live 👍🏻

READ THIS: The Sharon Schools are always said to be amazing, but they can actually be really foul schools. If your child is (more than slightly) above or below the average, they just won't get proper education. The gifted kids don't get enough challenge, and the below average kids get infantilized. If your child is autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent, THEY WILL TREAT YOUR CHILD HORRIBLY. This is coming from A LOT of personal experience and observation. The kids in the sped/ASD programs are either infantilized, or if they have a bit of "attitude" (like I did), then they are borderline abused. Think being literally tossed in a non-padded cubicle with staff holding karate shields at the entrance. They also use ABA "therapy", which is very mentally (and sometimes physically) abusive and has been shown to cause lasting trauma/PTSD. One time my arm got twisted nearly out of my socket BY STAFF MEMBERS during a scuffle (there are non-harmful ways to restrain people)! If you need more proof, reply below and I can hook you up with quite a few people that can tell you about what happened to them.
