Nice to see 30587 back in service. Last time we saw it was at Locomotion Shildon. [out of action]. We were told at the time [2019] it was waiting a complete retube.

Looks like a great day! so much to do. I went there in 2018. Is the big German locomotive still there?
@norfolkngaugeАй бұрын
Yes, there's lots to do, especially on a gala day when everything is operating. The German locomotive Peer Gynt is still there. I didn't include the museum exhibits this time as they were in my previous Bressingham video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWSodXqBZ62Cgtksi=AKrBvyDvev-mwNrq

Black Prince is awaiting the next overhaul. They made an agreement with Bressingham to display in the museum while they wait for space in the workshop and sort out the funding. I read that it's expected to be 2 years.

I used to shovel coal, into sacks, from those steel coal carriges. A great improvement in shovelling from the old wooden coal carriages. OMG I'm a part of the history of Valley Road, Coal yard, Canal Road, Bradford. Near the old Steel Footbridge before Foster Square Station. Late fifties. Fun stuff. Beautiful modelling.

The shovelling still sounds like hard work though. Glad you enjoyed the video.

I look at something like this bridge and wonder how the rails are accurately re-alligned after the swing. Amazing in it's present form has worked for 120 years - they don't make them like that any more!

At least buffers are inherently designed to absorb some impact.

Way too much audience for the experience level of the engine crew. They did however have nice hats and uniforms on so they’d look cool while wrecking the nice locomotive.

Amazingly cool video! I'm kind of obsessed with this railway even though I live in Edmonton, and not the North London one... I also still kind of find it a bit of a shame that TFL doesn't operate the Central Line out that way anymore... Especially with the potential of North Weald...
