It's probably due to color theory and that I have an olive undertone. I think. It is the shade Rococo.

LOL let me tell you a bit of a long story. I quite literally spent almost 5 hour online reading descriptions of shades and watching videos to try to find a couple of shades that could match me. Then I spent nearly an hour in store swatching the shades that I thought would match me in a couple of different spots on my face. Waiting a couple of minutes to ensure they don't oxadize, walking outside to make sure it matches me in sunlight. I did this over an over again, until my list came down to one shade. However, after looking up and down the display and asking the staff come to realize, they don't have the shade I am looking for. So I tried to forget about it. Then I happened to be in store a couple of weeks ago and they had the shade I was looking for the last time. Without testing to make sure, I bought it. Even though I didn't try it, after all that work, if it didn't match, I might've murdered someone. It was worth it! It's a really good foundation.

@@vivsterville6368 wow what a lot of work! Dang right, after all that, it would be sooooo annoying if the shade wasn’t right! Honestly I thought all their shades looked super warm-toned and saturated in-store, I was so thrown off. The last foundation I bought from Sephora (which has been discontinued, otherwise i would probably just keep repurchasing because it matches well and I like the formula), an associate used their shade finder tool on me and it worked pretty well!

LOL That does make me feel better. I'm one day going to be able to do this. I just know it.

Is the Caliray one good? I want to get it so bad. I've heard so many good things about it. LOL I do the same thing, won't open it until I finish the one I am currently working on. Even if I already bought it.

@@vivsterville6368 it’s definitely not as dewy as the Ulta one, and also a really thin formula. For me these are positives, because it doesn’t feel like I have a heavy layer underneath concealer. I have found that it’s also easy to wear alone with no foundation (I wear the shade Cool Sunrise, I think we probably have a similar skintone, light-medium to medium). The last thing I will say is, it was a big upgrade for me in terms of price (the one I had prior is $10 regular price), and I was satisfied with the value for money-the packaging is nice, heavy glass, and the brand has a cute aesthetic. I usually don’t care about that, but it made me feel better about the higher price!

Yes, it's genius. It was created by someone else, and re-created by a couple of other creators, the ones I found are in the description box. I am picky when it comes to ND. They are just too pricy, there are like 3 of her mini palettes that I am interested in. That I refuse to buy because I have others just like it. I do enjoy her formula. Although, I have her others say otherwise. I also, really enjoy CP formula so I totally understand where you are coming from.

I know exactly what you mean! I was so tempted to buy the Judy x Oden's Eye Spring Dragon palette but stopped myself because it is so close to the Candy Skies palette and I barely use that as it is. I am glad that I have at least one palette in my collection like it. When I do feel the need I know exactly what to pool for. Sounds like it's similar to you.

@@vivsterville6368 Candy Skies is so pretty 😍. The Judy x Odens eye palette turned out to be amazing. I don't regret getting it. The multichrome blew me away [even if the color isnt my favorite], im surprised the price of the palette was so low compared to the quality. At the very least, it made me want to keep an eye on the brand. Everything was so pigmented and impactful. This is what I want my reaction to be when I buy eyeshadow palettes.

Brushes is probably the only thing in my collection that I do a really good job of rotating. Although, I know the only reason is because I hate to wash my brushes and hence use and re-use them until I am forced to wash them. I will say though, I like my Morphe brushes, but only the ones with the black bristles. I've been thinking of decluttering the white ones, I find them to be too scratchy. Do you have a similar issue? How do you maintain them? My favorite brushes are probably either Laura Lee, Sigma or Doll 10. Plus Scott Barnes (but I don't like recommending those, they are stupid expensive, but so damn good, best brushes in my collection).

​@@vivsterville6368The Laura Lee brushes look great. From Morphe I have mostly classic shapes, like M433. White bristles and brown, they aren't scratchy thankfully. The worst brushes I have from Morphe are detail brushes that come in pre-made sets; those often make it to the trash. I wash them with Rephr soap, then let them dry without any shaping assistance. I've had them for years. Before The bar soap I used baby shampoo.

Then maybe the issues is the soap I am using. I will try soap. I think that would be the softest on the brushes.

Exactly!! That is why I can't justify the price, except for Fenty Beauty, there is almost no product in them. Now with drug store being so much better in quality, it's just not an option I am open to explore anymore.

Not bright, it's not really my thing, I do like muted colors and wear them often. Like olive greens, plums, pinks; more my speed. LOL the temptation to buy everything is so high.

I know the feeling! I've been watching people do videos on EM cosmetics for years. I will say, now that I've tried this products for a couple of weeks. The blush and palette are knock outs! They are honestly great. If I didn't have an overflow of blushes I would go on the website and buy 2 more. The palette is the perfect every day palette, I've used it more than 10 times in the couple of weeks that I've had it. I think the bronzer stick is nice but did not impress me overall, maybe I need to play with it some more. I don't think it is better the one from Rare Beauty. Can totally skip the lip product I bought, I have heard good things of the other ones in their collection. So... here is me being a bad influence on you. The palette and the blush are the way to go.
