crystalized had so much potential but harumi shouldnt have came back
@tristtrist85498 күн бұрын
Her motive in season 8 was reasonable. She wants to resurrect Garmadon because she believe's he'll do a better job at saving Ninjago than the ninja. But then she threw that out the way in season 9 when she made Ninjago into Detroit. Then she messed up again by helping the Overlord in season 15 and almost destroyed Ninjago again. Harumi's probably the biggest hypocrite because she wants to save Ninjago by nearly destroying it.

In "Garmadon Rulez!" Harumi supposedly heard the voice of Garmadon sometime between Possession and Sons of Garmadon, given what Crystalized gives us to work with, I wouldn't be surprised if that was actually The Overlord using a voice that he retained due to his brief possession of Garmadon back in Season 2 to trick someone vulnerable into helping him grow spiritually stronger and come back again.

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT GARMADON He was poisoned by venom at a young age, which turned him dark. He was a former ruler of the underworld and the serpentine at some point and became a vessel for the physical embodiment of darkness itself. Yet, through all this, his son was the only thing to bring out the humanity in him. Later in the Oni Trilogy, they showed how lovable old Garmadad was by stripping off all loving qualities, made him a living organism physically incapable of feeling love and mercy and producing a genuinely threatening villain. (THE SCNEN OF GARMADON SAYING _"I have no son"_ WHILR STRANGLING HIM IS SO COOOLD OLD GARDAD COULD NEVER-)

The interesting thing is that the writers of Dragons Rising confirmed that The Departed Realm has been merged with everything else. Who knows, maybe we will get a future episode that will explore the realm and we can get a glimpse of the other half of Garmadon. And Maybe we can also find out about the Preeminent as well.

I really like the original show, but I hate avery new ninjago seasons. Reasons: -It's made just for money by selling thousands of meaningles lego sets and trying to make people feel nostalgig, even when the show is trash. -Those new character models make me feel sick and betrayed. -All that happened in original series is now forgotten and meaningless. -It's not unique anymore.

Just watch from the first episode. There're prequel scenes but those are just some lore that's added on over time, like how we suddenly found out randomly that Garmadon was once a judge at a war criminal tribunal because of a prequel scene. Start from episode 1 and you're good

Things that could've improved with the last act of Crystalized: 1) we get allies from other realms 2) Harumi redeems herself BEFORE the overlord reveals himself to be the devourer's creator, and the redemption actually be because she sees how mad the overlord is and that he plans to destroy everything 3) Lloyd learning to master his oni form and combining it with his dragon side, that way the oni doesn't feel wasted (though in my opinion, it wasn't completely wasted as it did enable Lloyd to face his fear and it at least weakened the overlord)
@miadoesmanythingsАй бұрын
YES!! I noticed that most of the Crystal Council was only really from the recent seasons (with the exception of Pythor and the Overlord himself). I would’ve LOVED to see them bring back someone like Chen or Morro or the Time Twins, or heck, even Nadakhan and have Jay confront him. Tbh, the crystal council kinda reminded me of DotD with all the ghost villains.
@RobertJames-i8jАй бұрын
@@miadoesmanythings another thing. had the pacing been not too slow in the first half with less plot and then fastened in the second half while struggling to squeeze in some plot (not that I hated it as a whole), then perhaps they would've had an episode that centred around an encounter between Lloyd and Harumi, that's a battle not only on physical terms, but also in ideals, and in the end, Lloyd manages to get into Harumi's head for once and actually get the drop on Harumi, which shocks her as she's used to being the one to always get into Lloyd's head, and she becomes disillusioned out of pride, and also Lloyd tests her to see if she really does have the will to strike without mercy and let's himself open. Harumi then smirks to herself thinking, "fool" and then charges only to find it hard to be willing to strike, no matter how many times and how hard she tries to convince herself to "be strong" and then just gives up, screams and throws her weapon away. after she's down and when Lloyd reprimands her for her self-righteous claims and cruelty, she snaps back "don't you DARE judge me", and goes on a self-pitiful and opinionated tirade when she explains, in a self-pitiful and opinionated, but understandable, speech about how her life was ruined because Lloyd released the serpentine who in turn release the devour and that she's suffering because he, the 'killer' of her parents, lives on an is praised, and that he deserves to be and needs to be ruined and destroyed, after she calms down, Lloyd then reveals he DOES feel sorry for her in spite of her cruelty and also lectures her in that what's she saying and believing in is wrong and the opposite is true; being close-minded and hard hearted doesn't make you stronger, it leads to you being alone again and that she's actually deluding herself with her fear and trauma and unwillingness to be hurt, and also that while she says that she thought it through carefully, she actually hasn't and is really believing what she wants to believe, which the overlord took advantage of, and by showing mercy she didn't give it to weakness, she showed strength, before saying "maybe one day you'll realise that, in fact i HOPE so, but I don't expect it to be today" and then leaving

@@RobertJames-i8j WOWWW THAT WAS PERFECTTTTT!!! I feel like Crystalized isn’t really a good season, like I only felt things for it bc it was the end, not bc of the story. I agree that we should’ve gotten more Lloyd getting into Harumi’s head and Harumi actually developing rather than the overlord confessing and being like “oh, wait, I actually love Lloyd” yknow? I mean, she doesn’t have to forgive Lloyd immediately, but the way Harumi immediately became good kinda felt weird. I wish we had more buildup.
@RobertJames-i8jАй бұрын
@@miadoesmanythings then again, sudden as it may appear, it does make sense for the Overlord to have created the devour since Garmaddon's initial redemption came after the defeat of the overlord and not the devourer, and Harumi's redemption at least makes sense in general since her parents were killed by the devourer, and since the devourer was created by the overlord, he was actually to blame, not the ninja
@miadoesmanythingsАй бұрын
@@RobertJames-i8j yeah, it’s not that it’s the worst thing ever, but I do wish there was more buildup. Tho I guess if I was in Harumi’s situation, I might’ve reacted like her after learning that it was the overlord. But I think if we saw more of her doubting if what she was doing was right, it could’ve sold me more on her character (she’s super interesting but I’m mad abt how her character happened in Crystalized). Idk, Harumi just has potential that was watered down in Crystalized imo.
