esiste di questo brano una abbastanza famosa incisione del celebre John McCormack, ma in La bemolle. Un'esecuzione ricca di preziose nuances e smorzature su note acute. Questa esecuzione di Lapelletrie sembrerebbe nel tono originale del brano. Il Si naturale però è risolto con qualche cautela.

Bellisima voz, morbida y igual en toda la gama.. la técnica italiana, sin duda, pero en los antiguos cantantes rusos eso era habitual. Y sin los portamentos habituales en el aria. gracias por subir esta maravilla.

@@Iris_Castelli not sure what you mean, but within, but Lauri-Volpi is out of tune (sharp) on some notes (a lot of them) and not others. So it can't be a problem of the recording. The accompaniment stays in tune.

Do you mean it doesn’t emit the final high? Yes, you are right, but not because it was not extended, but because it was tradition still in the early 1900s not always to output the high-pitched finale in this passage

Better than all the other tenors I have heard that sang this opera. In Oberon at least there’s a version with two great tenors Walther Ludwig and Helge Roswaenge (which I will post on my channel), but I haven’t heard a really good tenor in a full opera recording of Euryanthe. Shame Slezak didn’t record any full opera.

No, Slezak only recorded in the studio between 1901 and 1930. How does his voice look to you?

@@GianluigiCortecci It must sound huge live I assume. And I particularly like the bel canto quality in his singing (like in La Dama Blanche aria for example). Also he seemed to have a large repertoire including lieder, imo many of them are the best version ever recorded.

@@GianluigiCortecci Sharp notes? I don’t hear any and I think his intonation is really good. Definitely much better than a lot of 50s-60s tenors who often sang out of the pitch.

La “o” è più chiusa perché non è di madrelingua italiana. Nonostante questo, però, Slezak canta un Italiano molto eloquente (in questo caso l’aria è francese ma stranamente eseguita da Slezak in italiano). L’acuto della cadenza finale come le sembra?

Peccato che questa registrazione purtroppo non rende giustizia. Ma nel mondo della discografia è così, da anni sta regnando una ingiustizia Enorme . Con l’arrivo dello STEREO le registrazioni truccate e false hanno fatto la loro apparizione dove si possono sentire delle voci mai esistite dal vivo,così da anni il pubblico non sa più dove si trova la verità. Quando sentiamo le registrazioni truccate di Pavarotti per esempio nessuno può immaginare neanche per un secondo che dal vivo : 1 Piccaver = 20 Pavarotti no comment il vecchio

Georges Thill et Marthe Nespoulous forment un très beau duo car leurs voix se marient à merveille ! Celles ci ont une noblesse dans le phrasé et une diction impeccable ,qui a été perdue par la plupart des artistes lyriques actuels .C'est très agréable de pouvoir comprendre tout dans ma langue maternelle !
