Hard times for people that still collecting CDS and DVDS ! I do the same,but when I talk about to the people around me,they shake their heads and ask me》Really ? Nobody understand this.But it doesn't much to me,cause in a long run they all come back to it,and this will be the time,when these mediums will be like an investagation ! 100% That what happened to Vinyl will happen to CDS and DVDS😉

I have that kit and don't think it's too bad for its age. I will probably sell it because I'm not building much anymore. I remember that there were some very good resin upgrades years ago, including a complete gear bay and other stuff. I have two rare vacuform D-9 conversions for this kit that I'd hoped to use one day. The 1/24 Fw-190D-9 Trumpeter kit was just not quite right when it was released.

So glad you liked my video John, I'm really looking forward to Volume 2! Do you have any plans to do re-releases on NWOBHM bands that weren't on the Neat label? I've been trying to get hold of a CD version of the New Electric Warriors compilation, but it's been out of print for years, as well as The Scene Of The Crime compilation which I'm guessing is a bit of a Holy Grail for the genre.

@@AdrianBowerProject Not sure about Scene Of The Crime - as you said that's a bit of a holy grail - but I can do some digging and see what we can come up with regarding New Electric Warriors, which did have some cracking bands and cuts on it. I have most of these albums on cassette, and a few on CDs. Iron Fist is probably one of the weakest motorhead albums but it's still motorhead and it still deserves to be listened to. In my opinion, Orgasmatron is probably the best, all killer no filler album they ever did. Speaking of broken cases, I recently renewed most of my broken cases...and some of them had a few broken things in the inner circle thing that holds the CD in place, and now I have shiny spanking new CD collection. Here's how I did it.... Went on ye olde Facebook marketplace where someone was selling a hugh box of pop CDs for £5. I think there was around 140 brand new looking CDs of shit like boyzone, take that, now that's what I call shit music, Shakira, Britney spears etc etc etc. I bought them, then thew out all the crap from inside the cases and cleaned and polished up the cases with some t-cut and hey presto, my broken damaged cases got replaced with new shiny ones, and have some spare cases left over for any future breaks that might happen too.

I've never got on with Iron Fist, though I probably should revisit it again one day. I agree, Another Perfect Day is a great album. It's a little different from those early records in that it is quite melodic isn't it. Orgasmatron is probably my favorite Motorhead album. Wurzel was in the band when I first started listening to them, so I've got a soft spot for his particular 'sound'. While my first Motorhead CD was the compilation released in 1987 called the Collection, 1916 was my studio album entry point with the band. I saw them perform on that tour at the Portsmouth Guild Hall. The Almighty were the support act and ...well, they didn't stand a chance did they really. March Or Die was for me a big disappointment. It had one foot in the commercial world of Ozzy Osborne. There were some great songs on it but most were a bit too radio friendly for me. I can remember I played it over and over again hoping it would get better... Bastards was their return to form IMHO, and I think on that album they reached their peek. Interesting review. Cheers
@AdrianBowerProject6 ай бұрын
I saw them on that tour too in Nottingham, I'd not heard The Almighty before then but was very impressed, I don't think they reached their full potential though. I agree there was a lull in the quality of some mid-era albums, I think they should have taken time off to write stronger material instead of letting the record companies forcing them in to do another album so soon.
@johnbellamy34066 ай бұрын
@@AdrianBowerProject I remember seeing/reading/hearing (?) a conversation between Phil Taylor and Lemmy about how the record companies took Motorhead for granted at about that time. They didn't invest in the band and I think Motorhead became side stepped by younger up and coming bands etc. Phil said something about noticing the tears of frustration in Lemmy's eyes when forced to play though a crap PA system... and Lemmy's comeback was that if there were tears they were tears of joy that he was playing the music he wanted to... maybe you're familiar with that exchange. I'm sure there was a lot to that. By then, I guess Motorhead had become part of the woodwork and record company attention was focused on younger sexier bands in the hope that one of them would be the next Def Leppard. I'll always be grateful to Lemmy. His music and words have got me through the toughest of times in the past. I've always felt that you can handle most things while Lemmy has your back. I can remember starting my first job many years ago in a psychiatric hospital. I was terrified. While I put my socks on that morning, Back At The Funny Farm came on the CD player... it helped me embrace what I was about to walk into and Motorhead has often helped me in that way throughout life.

Many thanks, I wish I was a better modeller then it might look 100%, but I'm very happy with it. If I were to make the Zeppelin (as per the cover art) then I think I'd use cotton wool for the smoke which could have orange spray painted to represent the burning parts, which I have seen on other builds too.
@Lambonights7 ай бұрын
@@AdrianBowerProject Great idea, Adrian! However, I want to do a "what if" build, if Led Zep had used an actual Zeppelin to do their touring with back in the day. You will know of course they actually used the Starship One Boeing 720. I also have a Roden kit for this in 1:144 scale which is roughly the same actual size as your Heinkel, but it also comes with Deep Purple decals so, I'll build it as a DP plane, leaving Zep, with their Zep! Hopefully I'll be able to make use of the spare LZ decals, that came with the B720, on the Zep too for something truly unique that only old rockers like us would understand! 😊

@@AdrianBowerProject Help you did, Adrian! The thing is, back in the '70s, my younger self did build an Airfix He111. I guess it must have been the very same H20 you showed here, because it looked familiar, but with the old school box. All I can remember from that build 50 odd years ago was that the nose cone glass was very tricky to get right. I just couldn't get it to line up right, always remembered that. Anyways, couldn't find an H6 version but did manage to find an even later P-2 Heinkel kit. This is lovely. Almost the same as the H6 kit you have there. Couldn't agree more mate! And about Christmas, now I'm a lifelong atheist for F's sake who finds the whole concept of religion mental. However much I'd like to see all religions consigned to history I do understand it brings a lot of comfort to a lot of people, which is why it annoys me (an atheist don't forget) that the only religion that is not respected these days is Christianity, especially at Christmas! I might not believe but I spent too many years at university (when free speech came with our grant-funded often grotty student lives (I blew my grant on booze, weed, and motorbikes) and a career trying to drum history into teenage heads not to know that this country was formed on Christian principles (King Alfred's foundation of England, King Henry's reformation etc) and that should be celebrated and respected! Anyway, that's my tuppence worth have a great Christmas Adrian, and thanks for the content.
