The Michael Elay, Megan Good and Jonathan Majors video was trimmed and taken out of context for clickbait. The full video tells a whole different story. I also believe that one can have healthy opposite gender friendships. It's not a one size fits all. This requires decernment of character in the first instance, integrity, mutual respect, transparency, maturity, and health boundaries. If a person is going to cheat, they will cheat regardless because that is the nature of their character, and because they generally have integrity issues. Personally, I have male platonic friends that I've known since primary school. I know their wives, families, and other friends, and there's never been an issue in over 30 years. In regards to navigating healthy relational boundaries, one has to understand that they are guidelines that define what you expect and tolerate from others in our relationships, be it emotionally, physically, or socially. Healthy boundaries serve to: * Encourage autonomy and reduce codependent habits. *Set expectations when interacting with others. *Give you a sense of empowerment and self-respect. *Ensure your physical and emotional comfort. *Clarify individual responsibilities in a relationship. *Separate your wants, needs, thoughts, and feelings from those of others. A good book recommendation is Set Boundaries, Find Peace: A Guide to Reclaiming Yourself by Nedra Glover Tawwab

It would have been great to get a lot of biblical support for these types of conversations, especially, as this is a church family. It would help a lot of believers and non-believers...

It's a shame that WOMEN are not heeding the RED FLAGS right at the beginning of the friendship/relationship. So sorry that, Natalie, went through this, and thank you for being so transparent about your situation. The takeaway from this, is that, going into a marriage, without prayer, discernment and not working on self. - Am I ready for a marriage? Have I dealt with my own personal issues? What am I ignoring, because of my own issues, that I have not addressed? Women, do not go into marriage, if these things have NOT been addressed. Seek counsel from God at every stage. He allows us to choose, but if the RED FLAGS, presented themselves, and we ignore them. Then we have to be accountable for our choices. I pray Natalie finds herself, deals with her issues and allows God to fix her heart and gives her peace, going forward. WE know that God never forsakes whom he loves and will always be with us. WISDOM is the principle thing, therefore get WISDOM and in all thy getting, get UNDERSTANDING!!! - Know, before one says, I do!!!!

I came from the youtube ad gonna watch and see what I think... Update I'm 30mins in or so and I'm confused by the relationship between these three people is the lady with the red lipstick both of there step-mum is the dude and the younger girl both siblings? No introduction and the older lady is looking at the guy saying "your dad" when the guy said he was raised by 2 mums.... the whole proximity and relationship between the 3 of them unclear...

Great episode! Special thanks to Sarah for highlighting the mental health struggles Christians who love God can still experience. Not enough people speak about this, so I appreciate you bringing it to light!
