I have a mag article from early 80s about the RAV that interviews Pontiac engineers etc, and the sad fact it wasn't a good performer, they made the intake passages too big and cylinder filling wasn't that good, plus it was an expensive motor to build, they gave a few to Arnie the Farmer and others to use with blowers for drag racing, you could buy all the pieces over the counter and build one, some did but they had to reengineer them.

Dream Giveaways, could you say why the GMC has different rims than the earlier photos? Second, why does the GMC not say Hurst Hauler on the lower doors, as the earlier photos showed? I was just wondering, since it looked good in the photos. Thanks.

You may be right Chris... But, I believe GM's net horsepower ratings started in 1972 not 1971. The biggest difference for horsepower rating drop from the 70 Chevelle's 450 horse LS-6 to the 71 Corvette's 425 horse LS-6 was GM's across the board compression ratio drops in all models in 1971. The Chevelle had 11:1 or more and I believe the Corvette was around 9:1. Fortunately for us Ford and Mopar held out for one more year with high compression. And I'll defer to you on all things Pontiac. 😁!

Hey !!! I used to always want a surron but never had enough money, I don't even have enough for a super 73. I have been watching all your videos trying to get a good cheap bike, but me and my parents do not have the money.I am so grateful I was able to get a Jetson for my birthday. The only problem is, it tops out at 10 mph and 14 mph with super hard pedaling. I have to ride my bike to school and this would be perfect, the friends I ride with to school always leave me because their bikes are much faster.

600 miles on in 40 years engine is worst then 6000000 miles engine seals bad and rusted cylinder bore due to lack of oil movement and so on master gm technician ls swap it now. 😂

You would think so, but this baby was kept from virtually day one in a climate controlled facility. The car has already been won, but everything was beautiful as if just off the showroom floor.

Great cars. The heaviest hood I ever had was on a 1976 Monte Carlo. How come the LS-5 in the Corvette was 390 HP yet the LS-5 in the Chevelle was only 360HP? Different tuning perhaps?

The GTO in the Sinatra commercial was a '69 -- no vent window and '69 parking lamps. Rad commercial, though. I never seen it before, until just now!
