A comment from my younger brother who has both a Bachelors degree in Biology and a Master’s in Geology, “Biggest ah-ha is the power of the lens to capture this documentary. Never would know this was happening. Very cool!"

Wow is this this year? Only saw one of the adults on the tree after a few visits this season. Glorious!

STUNNING!!!!!!!!! I had been looking for #7 and didn’t see it. A good friend had to notify me that it was there this evening. Preening in the wind and was a glorious view. The feathers are amazing. Powerful music fitting perfectly for the video. Thanks!

Thank you so much for posting these videos. They make my day! Back in 1989 and 1990, I had the fortunate opportunity to be a member of CDOW’s (now CPW) Peregrine Falcon Recovery Team, more affectionately known as “Jerry’s Kids”, named after Jerry Craig, one of the main people responsible for the recovery of the peregrine in Colorado. As part of the job, we surveyed known and potential nesting sites throughout the state, then banded the young. Some of us were then also assigned to hacking out 5 infant peregrines at different sites around the state. I was assigned to a site near Buena Vista, but had the opportunity to go to several other hack sites including LoDo. So, to see these birds brings things full circle. Currently work in LoDo and in the past I have spotted peregrines zipping by my 15th floor office window, but I have passed them off as passage birds mainly due to the time of years, but with this new info, you can bet that I will start taking walks with my binoculars and maybe even a spotting scope. You’ll know it's me because I will have a big smile on my face. Thanks again!

Ah ha!!! I was hoping for a chapter six. Lovely to see those falcons fly around my old office building at Denver Place. I used to work on the 33rd floor. Don’t know if that building still has that name but this video was delightful! Thanks, REF.
More outstanding video from Raptor Education Foundation. Informative description of “rousing” clearly demonstrated in this film!

I was proud to volunteer with REF back in the late 80s, albeit briefly. What a wonderful and important organization! I love this video!

I have been following this nest for about three years and was thrilled this year to see what appeared to be parental feeding of nestlings about a month ago. I always take my Sony A6000 w/70-300 lens in an effort to capture any memories that I can. It was AMAZING to see this video captured by Raptor Education Foundation that SO exceeds what I can see through my eyes and my camera lens. This video makes it simple to recognize the larger female and also just how this pair interacts with one another. It was super fun to see the eaglet spreading its wings to see just how big it has grown and to also clearly see the pin feathers on the wings. Stunning video! Thank you!

Is this bird used in falconry?
@RaptorEducationFoundation11 ай бұрын
It is not a typical species for falconry, however there are individuals which have been trained for programs, demonstrations, etc. in South America . Injured and orphaned birds have also been successfully rehabilitated and released using falconry techniques.

The report is not just about the birds...our channel has lots of pieces on various species. This is a quick tribute to the people who volunteer as raptor monitors. The volunteers are the focus.
