Hey funny you mention a potential change to 61-65 because now 61-65 (H) is cancelled and its 61-65 (J). idk why they skipped the letter I lol. The change I saw which is the only issue with ur presentation is that 1552.3 (h) has been changed. It is now located in 1552.15 (c). Awesome video! I'm wrapping up my cfi myself and this was a great resource edit: the 5 year reference figure is in 1552.15 (e) (1)

So I’m using ur method of PowerPoints.. on the checkride did you just present these PowerPoints from your iPad or computer ? And if you did which I’m guessing you did, did you also print these PowerPoints and make one of those big CFI binders where all these PowerPoints just went in the ACS order ? Guessing the DPE won’t care if you present on paper or if u just open up your iPad and go from there ? Just wanna know if I should also print these PowerPoints and put them into the binder

Yes I presented them on my IPad. I didn’t print off anything at all, I just had my iPad and my FARAIM. I have heard some DPE may or may not let you present, if you can confirm your examiner lets people present everything, I highly recommend going to them. You don’t need to print out the PowerPoints. When presenting it’s almost you’re teaching the DPE and having all of the aviation knowledge from your training. Let me know if you have any questions I’m happy to help

It kind of depends on how long the section is on the ACS. I wouldn’t worry about length. Just focus on covering each section and sub section

Good videos. I think you need to update a few acronyms; MUA should be MUC (AIH 3-9) and the domains of learning each have sub-acronyms (RUAC, ARVOI, and OIPH).

Yes I made my own PowerPoints for the technical subject areas and I would take them to the checkride. You may or may not be able to use them so know them to the best of your ability. Best of luck!

I think it is shameful msfs never had a good built in replay tool. The one in FSX was good and easy to use! Don't overcomplicate things!

The head tracker is cool, but man, if you're using it try to maintain some kind of stillness. If you need to look into the camera, move the camera to face you from straight on.

So what do you do with the actual lesson plans like the ones you buy from back seat pilot? Do you just use that for reference just in case while primarily going off PowerPoints so DPE knows u know the info by heart? And how did the entire overview of the lesson go? Like dpe asks you the present Airspace so did you go directly into attention grabber.. introduction…. Overview of the objects and straight into main points.. conclusion? Thanks

The main thing with presenting the technical subject areas is know your ACS standards of what criteria you need to go over and know that when presenting. I just made custom PowerPoints that fitted along the ACS criteria. Some DPE may not let you present and maybe some will let you. You start off really by just going over the ACS not really an intro and conclusion. You can if you want to make your checkride sound better as a CFI although everyone is different just as long you cover the ACS you are golden. Good luck my friend!
