Sir does this car is just as big as fortuner and another question what is the maintenance charge
@thesuvfamily19 күн бұрын
It's almost the same length as Fortuner, slightly lesser though. A tad bit lesser height and ground clearance than Fortuner. I had done AMC for my car for 3yrs, so my servicing is completely free. The usual servicing as far as I know ranges from 12k-15k depending on the time of servicing.
@owaissiddiqui700125 күн бұрын
How's the performance of the vehicle, and what about the maintenance cost and reliability.
@thesuvfamily25 күн бұрын
It's a car, that is enjoyable every time you crank it up. It has got two distinct personas. One, on the regular motorways and normal roads, where it behaves like a gentleman until you floor the pedal. Once you floor it, the acceleration is linear but quick by any means. The other trait is when you take it off-road. There, it feels at home, in the truest sense. It is effortless, in the worst of the worst roads. I recently had the experience of driving it on tracks used by tractors. I was literally spellbound. Jeep is reliable, at least so far, I haven't had any issues whatsoever. Barring few sensor issues once or twice, which resolved on its own, there hasn't been any niggle so far. I won't be able to tell you the exact maintenance cost, because I had done AMC for 3yrs and so far, the service has been absolutely free for me. In general, the service cost for Jeep varies between 12000-20000/-, but I am not very sure.

Nice Video. How's it as a day to day drive. Any niggles. And the service cost.
@thesuvfamily25 күн бұрын
Thanks. As a daily commute, this is a nice car, but a big one if the commute is through very congested places. I won't say it's bulky because it is easily manageable through tight spaces. It has a surprisingly small turning radius. You won't also have the feeling of driving such a big car because it's very cocooned from the inside, with a good all round visibility. Sound insulation is nice, it's pretty much silent inside. Ride quality is also plush, handling and braking is impeccable. I have driven it close to 28,000 kms. So far no major issues. Minor sensor related issues have cropped up once or twice, which resolved after driving for sometime. I had done a 3yr AMC while booking the car, so I am not very sure about the service cost. It's free for me for 3yrs or 45,000 kms. I only have to pay for the Adblu top-up. In general, the service cost for Jeep can be between 12-18k/-, some of which can be avoided by customising the services you want.

What's the service cost of the Jeep?
@thesuvfamilyАй бұрын
Hi, I have AMC for 3yrs. So my service is free including all consumables (except for DEF). So I usually have to pay for the Adblu. Usually, the service cost is around 15k-18k as I heard from other owners. No first hand experience so far.

Nice Vlog. @ 03:56 My HEXA also gave us a mild heartache through Instrument Cluster about Hill Descent Control failure and Engine Malfunction near Gata Loops. 😂 We stopped for 2 minutes and gave the vehicle a much needed break. Then it all started working smoothly again.🎉.
@thesuvfamily2 ай бұрын
Absolutely. I think, on long drives we motorists should make it a rule of thumb to take a short break at every 100 kms on plain highways and 50 kms on mountains. It would help us to get fresh and also help the car (engine, hardware, software etc.) to cool down. I think, these software laden techs hang sometimes on continuous running just like our smartphones do.

Hello sir, i am planning for a Meridian, i have a few questions. 1. People say it is buggy and faces major frequent visits? Any fit finish ,malfunctions ,failure you faced? 2. How is the ride comfort, does it hurt your back when riding on bad roads? 3. Ac is not adequate
@thesuvfamily2 ай бұрын
Hi, hope you are doing good. Meridian is an extremely capable and comfortable car. The fit and finish is solid. The only reason I have taken it to workshop is for routine servicing and minor accidental repairs. There was once a sensor issue with the co-passenger door lock, that was the only other instance for the visit. Otherwise, there has been no issue so far (my ODO is at 28000 km, 2nd yr running) The ride comfort is the best part of this car, especially on bad roads, because of it's suspension. You can glide over bad patches at moderate speeds without even feeling a jerk or noise inside. But, obviously you need to slow down at off-road type patches where it will behave like a normal 4x4. One thing you can say is, the seats of Meridian are a bit hard. But it isn't that bad as many complain. I have driven the car at a stretch for 3-4 hours without feeling uncomfortable. On highways, I suppose we all take breaks after 3-4 hours or even before. A/c is good. It cools very fast. But it is precise. In some cars, you will feel chilled at even 24-25°C while feel sweaty at 18-20°C. It's not like that in Meridian. At 25, it feels like 25. Not too hot, not too cold. I usually keep it at 23-24, for our hot and humid Indian roads. It is very comfortable. You can set your temperature as per your comfort level, and trust me, you won't need to change it frequently. In my next episode, I will be taking about how our car performed in the trip. I hope I will be able to answer all your questions even better, there.

@thesuvfamily4 ай бұрын
Yes, I have thought about Go Pro.. but its battery backup is the limiting problem. I would need to carry 2 Go Pro and 2 battery packs to meet my consumption.. I might change my dashcam to a 4K to get better quality. But I understand, the quality won't be as great as Go Pro.
@arnprasad4 ай бұрын
@@thesuvfamily more than gopro its your windshield with the glare. So if you have something inside it needs to be very close to the glass so it will completely focus on the outside. One alternative to gopro is DJI action 3....during dussehra sale you may snag it for around 17-18K and it has got very good reviews and is comparable with gopro. Costco had gopro 11 for 99 dollars last week in few stores :) Also the dashcam/action cam need not record every minute. HOpefully with the actioncam on your hood you should be able to control it with your phone.

What's hrs?
@thesuvfamily4 ай бұрын
HRS. It's Hydraulic Rebound Stop. It's a hydraulic stop damping in rebound direction. Basically, it lowers the rebound forces in a controlled manner, thus reducing the load on the upper mouth and thus the body. It helps reduce impact noises, acts as dampers and minimises vertical roll. With this additional assembly, you can ride along bad/rough patches at a moderate speed without much drama.

Thanks for sharing such an informative video. I am inspired with the information depicted by you. I am planning to drive all the way from Hyderabad to Nubra valley with my 2007 model Swift which is in excellent condition and clocked 83,000 KM. But I am also 75 years old and the last time I visited Khardunla was in 1978 with my Enfield 350 cc bike. Things have changed in those decades. Can I make it?
@thesuvfamily4 ай бұрын
Sir, you are an inspiration. You created history with your Enfield in 1978. Definitely you can make it to Khardung La and beyond as roads must have improved manifold compared to those in 1978. And age, that's just a number. I am extremely pleased that you liked the video. I tried to gather information, some on the way, some before going there and some after coming back and researching further. I would love it if you watch the other videos of this series too. And it would be my personal wish to meet with you some day in person.

@@thesuvfamily Yes, the road from Jammu onward was a pathetic one and beyond through Zojila pass was a nightmare. Interestingly at the same time a guy from Faridabad came to Manali from Leh in a Rajdoot bike. That opened the eyes of GOVT. of India to search for an alternate route. Next year my programme is to drive on the Australian outback in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. So I kept the Leh program for 2026 summer time. Shall have enough time to book accommodation in advance. I do wish to meet you if there is a chance. Good night.

@thesuvfamily4 ай бұрын
If you took "i20" down there and safely climbed back, then congratulations to you because it was your lucky day. If you are thinking about doing this just to prove that "i20" can go down there, please don't, especially if you are with your family. A front wheel drive car can definitely go down there, but won't come up because of the steep gradient, loose soil/sand and boulders. Plus, you need adequate ground clearance to avoid damaging your underbelly. My humble opinion, though. Take care, be safe.
