I have a spandex esk dress with lace bell sleeves. Since they put spandex in the lace too it didn't weather well in the wash. I don't wanna abandon the dress all together so I wanna redo the sleeves. Anyone got suggestions?

Whew, I'm so glad I looked at your tutorial! I'd been stuck on Round 11 forever. Thank you so much for your teaching and your beautiful designs..

what is the point in a tutorial if you don’t show some of the rows? not very self explanatory to me!! 😂 got all the way through to round 6 and now you won’t show how to do it. :((( onto the search for a different tutorial!

I’m just at the beginning of the video and I’m wondering if that’s just a regular chain? It already looks so detailed if it is! 🤭

Your videos are so helpful! I'm new to crochet but I still read all the directions first from start to finish and then as I come to each round I read and try to figure out the instructions BUT confirming if I read it right by checking here is invaluable. I did not realize that the fan edge is pulled down to the looped area so when I saw you do it the lights came on. It's genius actually in pattern design. Thank you.

Seriously, Janie, these people who can’t figure out the first 3 rounds of this pattern have no business doing this caliber of work. I do not consider myself an advanced crocheter, and I just finished the fruit garden afghan and it turned out perfect. I am now making the Sandalwood Persian Tiles afghan and loving it. I appreciate your work and the free videos.

If like me you crochet into the back bump of chains, rather than the chain loops, you might want to orient your work differently when connecting the stems to the flower. I found I had to hold it all upside down, oriented correctly, but slipped into the stitches in reverse order (so working left to right rather than right to left, if you're r handed like me). This leaves the back bumps of the chain ready to be worked after slipping.

The tutorial says single crochet for 10 stitches in the second to last row, and then it says single crochet for nine. I’m confused where all these numbers are are coming from. Is there anyway to get a better explanation for the steps that were skipped?
@janiecrow8472Ай бұрын
Hi - they should be properly covered in the pattern but please do get in touch if you've got further questions.

I just made all the circles, “a piece of cake”…next is to connecting the pieces... no, not easy at all. And the yarn is so dark and beautiful violet, need proper lightning, too. This video was very helpful! Thanks!

I'm finally onto your creative, addictive project! Most of our little crochet group here in Mkushi, Zambia have already made this gorgeous blanket. Thank you for the free gift and Emma's clear instruction. Enjoying the Kaffe Fasset type inspiration thru your eyes, Janie. What's the next one called? 😂❤

@ Hello Emma, I think I was asking which join might be strong for wear and tear and for snuggling under, with the blankets. I must have been half asleep when I made this comment. Please forgive me. Wishing for you all a Merry Christmas God Bless from Ellen. 🧶☕️🩷🤗🥂

Round 6: around the 5 chain-bows you make 6 double crochet. Round 7: 4 double crochet in the middle of the 6 DC of the previous round. You can start this round in the second DC of the bow. In between 3 chains. Good luck.

Thanks,, Janie. You make everything look so easy. However, I've got to train my brain to think stitches must be converted to U.S. terms. One question I always have for your beautiful designs: How to make the afghan-size projects bigger?
@janiecrow8472Ай бұрын
You could always make more motifs - as long as you make a full row or strip, you can add them on. You will need to adjust stitch counts for borders etc but generally speaking if you add a motif in, your stitch count should increase by the amount you'd need to make any pattern repeat work out ok. Hope that makes sense!

Janie thank god for these videos! For when I'm either stuck on a method I'm new to, or clearly haven't read the pattern correctly (like this time 😂). I hadn't a clue you made these to accompany your patterns until I started SOF, so it's also really nice to watch and see that I'm doing certain things correctly, or finding you use the same little tricks as me. I love your patterns so much. Total addict!
