@AnolotyVRYT that's Mishawum. They don't stop there anymore but it was last served in 2020 with limited rush hour trains and is still seen on the system map

However, I hate that station; my mom died there, neck snapped blood everywhere, and this brought back the PTSD and depression from when I watched it happen. Found this video while searching for something else... I had something like that happen to me with a group of guys, almost the exact same dialogue too! They even called the police on me for "filming them" and "trespassing on railroad property" (I was on a sidewalk at a crossing haha) The responding officers said they were just bums and that I did nothing wrong and apologized for what I had to deal with. Lots of people just don't understand our hobby... (However, I did not stay as calm as you, I don't let people push me around)

@tampabayrails yeah I read the situation and acted accordingly. He was clearly unhinged and unreasonable so I just told him what was up so he'd move along and not stab me lol Plenty of other situations I'll lose my cool on people, but logic tends to shame them most when they realize how they're making a big deal over nothing

The Lowell Line is my local line, and it was very interesting seeing that you caught one of the mid-90s bus routes at the High Street (or, what I know it better as, the West Medford Station) crossing - I have yet to see one of those myself!

Cool to see, but would be great if these could be eliminated, the train speeds were so slow in CT when I was heading up to Boston… I know it would be super difficult though.

@ThreeDee912 I think it's more so the curves than the crossings. Other routes go 110 mph across roadways and the sections where the crossings are on the NEC are not on persistent straightaways

None of the crossings that remain on the NEC are slowing the trains down at all. The crossings are all located in slower speed areas where the maximum speed is dictated primarily by the curves. The highest speed crossing on the NEC is 90 mph and if you eliminated that crossing, the speed would not increase at all because of the curves in the area.
