It’s not practical to just switch from oil that has been around for over 100 years. Everyone seems to have this “either or concept” and that’s just not practical thinking . You can have oil and you can have oil from algae, or lignin, or other sources. You just have to balance the ecological CO2 equation so that everything is equal (the environment goes back in balance) There is no set rule that states that you have to compete against something or another. People seem to have forgotten what it is to work collaboratively and collectively in groups when they had Big Projects in kindergarten:-/

For the love of god, i dont understand the logic of not being on time. How egotistical can you be? You being late 30 mins (in a group of 5) means 4 other people are now missing 30 mins in their schedule. You just burnt 2 hours of other peoples time. Weird thing is that it is a social thing in some countries. How can these countries achieve anything? I am Dutch btw (if that wasnt clear).

I would like to start off by saying that different doesn’t mean bad. Just because people follow different standards doesn’t mean they are inferior in any way. Regarding punctuality, the reason some cultures are not as time sensitive as the Dutch is not because these cultures disregard the importance of being on time but rather because being on time was never given much importance in the first place. So, if you have a colleague from a different country, instead of criticising them because “he/she doesn’t do what he must do”, explain to them why being on time is important to you and for work.
@MrTomaat23Ай бұрын
@@greekin2space387 I never said bad. I just don't understand the actual logistics. If i don't come to work on time, and so would my colleagues, my boss would have a problem. How does that work in cultures where they "disregard the importance of being on time"? "why being on time is important to you" So you just sit and wait patiently on others?! Or basically everyone is always late, but still someone will always be sooner there than the other, wasting time. === instead of criticising them because “he/she doesn’t do what he must do”, explain to them why being on time is important to you and for work. === I think i would turn it around. Say we meet at 15:00 to the person coming late, and 16:00 to the rest. Then tell him and ask him how he feels about it.

@@MrTomaat23 You’re missing my point and you also didn’t understand what I’m saying. Just consider different perspectives do exist in different places, even for the stuff you consider to be set in stone.

Hey! Where could i see the statistics of the amount of people who applied, and the amount of people who actually were accepted? I understand the number of people is quite high, but if the amount of applicants where more than a thousand, i'd like to know, since that could affect my chances of getting accepted, if the chances are for me too low, it might affect my decisionmaking.

The video is good. The sound is frankly appalling - it's supposed to be about the sound of the hummingbird, and what do we hear? Crappy, patronising, childish music throughout, and an equally patronising voiceover that wasn't even needed. They talk about the pleasing sound of the wing flaps, the root frequency and harmonics, so let's hear it you idiots! What a load of birdcrap!
