Replacing a standard AC motor with an Chinesium Motor/PWM Controller is going backwards in reliability! 🙄

That was not a standard motor. It was an ECM. This is YORKS upgrade. This is why I don't install JCI anymore.

@@ADVANHVAC - With all the modern residential HVAC equipment today. I'd rather fix 20y/o hdw than drop $10-30K on this new & improved, guaranteed to fail 10 days past warranty period stuff. It seems like there's an epidemic of Chinesium parts on them, which means early failures!

@xxxxxxxxxx6903 I agree the older stuff that was made 30 years ago was built way better. Maybe not as efficient but built. The new stuff is geared to saving more money on the usage of Electric and Gas.

Do you have to but a regulator on the line or was it just straight piped also wis the larger pipe size because of the distance the gas has to travel
@ADVANHVAC3 күн бұрын
Correct due to the length and the BTU that the generator pulls have to run the bigger line. No regulators on anything.

Something that I never disclosed!! until now. I don't typically do any commercial work. When I looked at this Job I did not look at the Phase of the Electrical and I should have. So we removed a 3 phase 4 ton AC the Unit needed much less due to it's on the Ground floor and 3 walls are under ground. I installed a 3 or a 3-1/2 ton so the power was 208 3-Phase the Ac is rated for 240-208. When i was hearing the compressor Instantly realized that I had one of the incorrect legs of power on it. So once I did some testing and switched the legs around and Added that HS everything is fine. This was a year ago and was just there about 3 weeks ago and everything is Normal.
