Saying that Vince Lombardi was no "Gentle Giant" is an understatement for the ages. A GIANT he was nonetheless. By teaching and motivating men to such a degree that they produced the finest standard of excellence in the history of the game. A Coach, a man and a team like no other.

My Dads childhood friend in Union, NJ (his friend was his Confirmation Sponsor) and he went to West Point and was coached by Vince Lombardi and was drafted by the NY Giants in the 1950s.
