Great Post! I was more familiar with the record labels than most of the artists and or groups. That record by Freddie Fender, HOLY ONE, was a top five record here in OKC in 1960 but was on the Imperial Record label. Again, Great Post! Larry N. Boyington, aka Larry Neal, former curator of the Wax Museum on the big 1520 KOMA

Great Post! I was familiar mostly with the labels than the artists themselves. I know that here in OKC back in 1960, Freddie Fender had a song called HOLY ONE on Imperial Records that was a toop 10 hit here in the city. Many years before he became an "overnight" success. Good music you posted reminiscent from the late fifties-early sixties. Larry N. Boyington, aka Larry Neal, former curator of the Wax Museum on the big 1520 KOMA

I’m 72 years old and I have a hobby of finding the music from my youth and just thinking back to those days and remembering what a great time it was to grow up.
I was born in 1960. But grew up with this music. My mother in the kitch with the radio on Brilliant time

I was born in 1959 and this music was still playing on the jukeboxes. It was during 1973 when American Graffiti was in the theaters that this type of music was being listened to by us younger baby boomers. 🎉

Don't know if you're still on here or not; but I came across your channel. AWESOME! Don't know if you are or were from the Pittsburgh area, but a LOT of the ballads were played here. And they were in great demand. I know; because I owned a record store. So many of your ballads are collectable items. Even back in the 80's people were buying those ballads $20 & up. Terry Lee, Porky Chedwick, Mad Mike, Bob Livorio & so many others tried to out compete with unknown records. You have a BUNDLE of them. Can't wait to take my time & listen again. I had about 40K in my store & most of what you have. But I sold them in the 90's. But it's different in this day & age to see them popping up on KZbin. Your site is the best by far. Plus I DJ'ed for 32 years. That's why I know a little bit about the music.

If the world thought like this now what a lovely place it would be. Modern music doesn’t reflect sensitive feelings we were the lucky generation
