I still dont see how a civilization who mastered time and space could lose to a bunch of robots with lazers and spaceships. They could litterally just hide in time like it wouldent matter if gallifrey gets destroyed and they all die in 2024 cus all of those people who are there when its destroyed were also there a week a month a year 100years before its destruction with access to time travel to go foraward to 2024 or far pastit. Youde think that when a invasion starts everyoneon the planet would go back or forward in time to another date and make sure everyone knows not to go to that period of time where the attack was taking place. There would be no way for daleks to do a think about it cus they cant time travel. Keep in mind the tardis was obsolete junk to the timelords. The daleks would ne3d to be able to time travel to get the timelords be even then they would basically have to corodonate a massive attack to wipe out the time lords every single day of existence since the time lords have invented time travel which would be forever since once you invent time travel you go back in time to before you invented it and give yourselves time travel creating a paradox where if time travels invented it doesent matter when itll mean we will have access to time travel since man first walked. Its a condondrum that always didnt sit right with me, timelords need a enemy thats just as capable as they are and can also time travel

Always liked the timewar ref in D Who but they always screw it up. Not 1 timelord is regenerated just shows them hit and die a whole race hard as hell to kill drops dead on hits like some human, unlike the doctor who keeps regenerating. Now if they had done some experiment on him giving him such a power it works, but his race is born with such power now i know some methods can kill a timelord without letting them regen but i believe single shots by daleks unless they r doubletapping them as they regenerate and we not getting to c it. Heck 10 managed to do a partial regen to keep his face and get a new hand. Caused lots of probs losing it. Yeah never leave ur body parts around humans if ur a scary alien. They gonna find and fuck with it😅

While it looks cool i dont find it really shows the chaos a time war would be, the way its described as timelines being made and destroyed in the blink of an eye. It just makes me feel like youd be stuck in a neverending fever dream while tripping on acid, everytime you blink everything is different, your brother you were with all your life is gone, the next blink a commander in different armor than yours is screaming at you to push to a location you never even heard of, everything goes black and an exploding star in the distance blinds you, in the next youre kill what you assume to be an enemy then it turns into someone with your face. Just mind melting chaos and destruction for what feels like an eternity. A time war more devestating and more incomprehensable than any war we can even imagine. Thats what i like to imagine it was like.

Personally, I don't really like it when the series depicted the Time War as the Time Lords' desperate fight for survival. I rather more enjoyed the interpretation that the Time Lords had turned into monsters themselves, and that neither side was the good side.

A Dalek never shows mercy. Never. So it just shows how much of a threat The Doctor is to the Daleks, that they would prioritise locating and destroying him, instead of exterminating some people they literally have surrounded, who they could exterminate within 2 seconds

No wonder the Time Lords lost this war ... their guns couldn't even penetrate through a concrete wall!

This is my favorite scene in the special. 10 and 11 are there to forgive War (and therefore theirself) and are completely willing to push the button with him and burn Gallifrey. They've gone through this whole adventure -- and in many ways the whole Revival series -- and because they can forgive themselves and recognize that there truly was no other choice, that earns them their ability to change history and get the happy ending.
