Which month did you go? Why do you need air con I didn’t think Vancouver was warmer than the uk ?
@roamingwithhammo7 күн бұрын
@Shining-Star- I live near here so go often but this video was early Sept. Very muggy and hot on this day so needed the air con. Haven’t done a UK summer in a decade so not sure how hot it gets there.
@Shining-Star-7 күн бұрын
@@roamingwithhammo In the UK, the average summer temperature typically ranges from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). The weather hasn’t changed. The only change is the grey skies constantly and the chemtrails.

Great video. Do you think it's ok to book everything when you arrive in Nepal, as the choice of tour groups is too much to take in.
@roamingwithhammo14 күн бұрын
@@AndrewpeterkilleyAndrewKilley hi Andrew, absolutely! I’ve never booked anything in advance and usually start with the hostel/hotel I’m staying at then decide on the ground. Tons of agencies to choose from and can be overwhelming.

Loved this video! We are planning to hike this weekend. Can you please share which trail/area did you enter going to Quarry Rock?
@roamingwithhammo19 күн бұрын
@@user-gk9ls8os4q thanks so much! You need to get to Deep Cove then walk along the main road to the left hand side of the water. Then you will see signs for the Quarry Rock Trail which starts with steps then you just follow the trail to the end. If you get stuck there are plenty of people around to ask too 😊

why do you need a car? Is there no public transportation on Hornby or enroute?
@roamingwithhammo3 ай бұрын
@@hedycampbell586 great question, definitely possible but the journey from Vancouver would be loooong. You would be relying on buses to work out from a timing perspective in line with ferry times and then getting across Denman Island to get the ferry to Hornby. A bicycle would work if you are biker. But a lot of coordination and time needed. For Hornby there is a small community bus I believe but that is it. It isn’t quite small enough to walk everywhere. Again a bike would help but a car would be easier imo.

Is the guide attached at the hip or does he leave you alone if you want?
@roamingwithhammo4 ай бұрын
Hi David, great question! He was with me for the hike, checkpoints, and organising the next accommodation. However, I had a rest day in Langtang Village, and he left me to explore the village for the day. Somewhere like the Everest region, it is not a fan of the policy and doesn't police it apart from the major hikes like Base Camp or Everest of course.

Awesome, glad to help. :) It's a tough choice between the two, but the Annapurna is a two-week trek to complete, so it depends on how much of a hike you want to do. Both are incredible, but I found Annapurna the hardest. Hopefully, you get that bag packed!
