Other cottage vendors offer print to fabric options where you can put whatever the heck you want on your fabric. I like the idea of featuring artists and them getting a revenue share, but honestly I'd rather have a personalized image.

When people use a sleeping bag, they often use a liner to spare the bag. The bag spares the pad. But when people use a quilt, using a liner would cause renewed restriction. Do quilt users usually use a sheet or sleep straight on the pad?

I can't force myself to get rid of my sleeping bags. I'm a rotisserie chicken when sleeping at night and even with the elastic bands, quilts end up not on me until I wake up with my toes frozen off. Any recs?

We do have quilt sleeping bag hybrids that may be your speed. You still get the lightweight feel of a quilt but a design more tailored to a sleeping bag! Check it out in our shop. The Convert and the Conundrum!

Guess it depends on the weather. They’re lighter than wool blankets. Though in the summer heat, I’ll take a hammock with a mosquito net.

I turn from side to side a lot and it seems like the quilt lets a cold draft on my back in whenever doing that… more of a back sleeper option?
@EnlightenedEquipmentАй бұрын
Usually, the benefit of a quilt is that you can toss and turn and let no drafts in. I would say make sure you are using the pad straps correctly and email Customer Service so they can help you out more and see what the problem may be.

Not a myth, i have extensive experience with both systems....the sleeping bag compared to the quilt is for sure warmer thus my preferred option on rides where i expect cold humid condition....i love quilts as i do not to start sweating as fast as i do in sleeping bags.

Very nice explanation and technique video. If I find some baffles have down that has migrated to other baffles is there an easy way to coax it through the connecting passages?
@EnlightenedEquipment5 ай бұрын
Great question! If you have 'stuff gaps' in your quilt, which allow down to pass between baffles, that means your quilt was likely made before 2018. For how to move down between the baffles, we made this video (a long time ago) that does a pretty good job showing how we do it. The actual instructions for moving down between baffles starts around the 2:05 mark. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2WvepqlmaaBe80si=NGRSZE09ZY9BkVBM&t=125 Also, while I'm here, we usually get people asking, "Why did you even put stuff gaps into your quilts?" The main reason was so that experienced backpackers could have the option to move down freely to the places they needed it most. It was meant to help them dial in preferences and needs. Over time, we found that it was too tedious for most users, so we removed the feature. We didn't end up talking about stuff gaps since, at this point, most people don't have them in their quilts. We'll spruce up the old stuff gap video in order to keep it relevant for people with the old style, though. Glad you enjoyed the video!
