All of the debris is on the dirty side of the filter. As long as the filter element is properly installed, none of that gets through to the injectors. Having that sediment settle out in lower chamber takes the load off the filter element and makes it last longer. You are absolutely correctt that it is a good idea to flush out the collected sediment when doing a filter change.

Hey buddy are you you supposed be getting fuel out of the cp3 return line if you are just priming with a prime pump? When I prime the engine manually I get a lot fuel pushed out of the cp3 pump.

I’ve got a truck that the floater inside the tank was up when coolant was cold and as soon as I got the truck to operating temp the floater sunk down and yes derate for low coolant, replaced surge tank and fixed problem.
