I just picked up a medium molle2 pack and I think this one is a winner. I love that it can be ran with or without the frame and there is soooo much room and lots of pockets for organization. I have wanted the filbe system but I do have the ilbe and I hate that ruck with a passion.

Have you figured out how to use the hydration compartment attachment?

Ugly efin bag. It looks like every pocket is stiff af too. Hate bags like that. Only good for flat items or the bulk will push into other parts of the bag

I just received my Penumbra and can confirm it fits the same amount of stuff I can put into my GoRuck GR1 26L. So I'd peg this as a 24-25L bag, easily. It's great but I would have loved to see it in 16-18L instead to be a light daypack version of the Evade 1.5, which carries like a 26-27L bag.

Amazing bag, 2 things to make it perfect for me is just a tab bit longer or wider to accommodate just a bit more stuff, and 2 straps underneath to carry a tripod or something of that sort

George, I know this is a late comment, but have you ever checked out the Oakley Extractor Sling? They’re $76 right now. I used mine for edc for a while and now I use it for fishing. My only complaint is the thin strap but I bought a camera bag strap cover off amazon and it velcros around that chest strap and makes it wider and slightly padded.

If you like this then you should check out the brand "Snigel design". They are the company that supplies the Swedish military with packs and all types of gear. Their "Specialist 40 liter" pack is similar to this but has more organisation that is really good and functional, both for bushcraft stuff and urban EDC.

I like the USMC surplus stuff. Its great for the money. I use the smaller, not sure the name, mounts via molly straps, so I added old alice straps to it. Im older now and like to keep tge weight down.

Best bag for the money. I had bought 2 at a surplus store once I got out of the Marine Corps. It was a love & hate relationship with this bag but more pros then cons. Gave one to a friend at the gym and he loves it.
