Does it damage the seat or cause any scratches on the long run ?
@GNaronКүн бұрын
LMC truck part sell brand new dash cores and matching paint. If I remember right GM added the plates in the rear water crossover to slow down coolant flow, because the high flow coolant was cooling off the EGR to much and causing the EGR to carbon up. I think there was GM bulletin out in the late 80's. The early TBI motors have the plates.

Why would you rebuild a block with only 2 bolt main instead of 4-bolt mains can you put all that high performance stuff on top of it it's just going to blow up?
@Sparepartsracing33422 күн бұрын
Please enlighten me why do you think it’s going to blow up just because it’s a 2 bolt main? This is going to be a fun street car not a race car trying to make crazy power. Pump gas, no nitrous, boost, etc.

do u need to run a separate controller for the transmission
@Sparepartsracing334Ай бұрын
For this truck I don’t because we’re running a C6. But you will have to add trans controller (which you can add in with a micro squirt) if you have a computer controlled transmission.

@@peluchotv you can get a microsquirt programmed as a trans controller and link it to the megasquirt so all your tuning etc is on one screen and one access point.

@Sparepartsracing334Ай бұрын
The physical install isn’t bad at all. I show the simple trimming needed to make it fit in the factory location and hold downs. You also need to seal it up and/or block the water from it. The mspnp isn’t watertight like the oem ecu.

Yeah, that's the reason for the tongue lock and making sure you're obviously in front of a camera that the front desk can see. Also the wheel chocks. Even if they tried to drag it by the chains the tires won't roll unless they take them off too.

Yes. We knew the stand wasn’t the best, that’s why the old engine was on it. but it last held a big block Oldsmobile. @Sparepartsracing3347 ай бұрын
Yeah, sadly we have paperwork where it was rebuilt about 10k miles ago ( right before we got the truck a few years back) the shop did some bullshit work is pulling and reinstalling it....but it's been giving issues for awhile. We've done fluid and filter a couple times to limp it along. But it has finally given up completely. So that problem is being eliminated. Lol
@larrypowers97217 ай бұрын
Cause you did it wrong unbolt the converter first then there wouldn’t be a mess much easier that way
@Sparepartsracing3347 ай бұрын
If I could have gotten the 4th converter nut to come off I definitely would have done that. Someone had overtightened the hell out of them and rounded 1 off. Had to cut it off
@Sparepartsracing3347 ай бұрын
Also, we really should have loosened the pan and drained most of the fluid first. 😆 forgot that step till it was kinda too late. 😅
@larrypowers97217 ай бұрын
Unbolt converter off flex plate before you put tranny back in or you will break pump in transmission you have to spin converter into transmission spin until it go in three times so you don’t break pump once it goes in put a piece of wire to hold it in while you put transmission back in
