I'm a fellow South African, and my son (not born in SA) introduced me to Amapiano recently... he's into "dance music" - I'm generally not... but liked what I heard... so as a fellow user of Studio One, I searched "amapiano studio one" and found THIS VIDEO. Thanks my friend, it's great to "sit beside" someone who obviously knows S1 very well, and is so relaxed and confident producing excellent beats... you've inspired me to try write an amapiano tune myself. I would love to see a video explaining what makes amapiano, and if/how it's different from kwaito, what makes an amapiano rhythm unique etc. So far it seems amapiano is very often understated, it does not shout at you... instruments are cheeky and playful with the bass often taking a very percussive role. I'd love MORE amapiano-Studio One videos like this... superb, thank you.
