I hope you cleaned the inside of the piston tube before you put it back together again, or you will get dieseling which will give you a higher power reading until it has all burnt away. Always clean the inside of the tube, clean and relube the piston, and then put it back together.l, every time, regardless 👍

Yep, I know I said I don’t know a lot about spring guns but I know the basics. But now after buying a tin of baracuda 15’s and finding out they weigh 16.2gn instead of the 15.89gn stated i better check power again as I calculated it using 15.89 as the weight..

I’m curious now as to how close other pellets are to the claimed weight…. Iirc when I went through a stage of weighing pellets h&n were a lot closer than this lot

@ you would like to think so. I’m sure the baracuda 8’s I had were pretty spot on, just out of interest I might go through some of the pellets I have an see. Think these were 9.99/250

👌Nice have heard they can be a little pellet fussy so worth persevering with a selection..the TBT fella Nick has recently done a load of new videos not saying you have to by the kits but the information and how to content is good..I've enjoyed them but springers are right up my street hopefully you can start enjoying the rifle now 👍👍

I bought a sample pack of pellets from pgpellets on eBay, good price (I think). Will try them an see what it prefers, got to try an remembered how to shoot springers well, should e fun 😂

@@steve4697 I was really lucky an older bloke started where I work, was chatting about air rifles an he sail he had an old springer I could have as he couldn’t use it where he now lived. Though he was gonna give me some old 💩 an he brought that in the next day!

My hw97 and rm8 love H+N and I've had good success with the hunter extreme and Barracuda match..haven't tried the Barracuda hunter yet..great stuff 👍👍

I have a Stoeger X5-not a bad little gun. I'd like something with higher velocity, but I haven't got the required license. Anyway, I'd been using Crosman .177-Caliber Pointed Pellets. I got quite inconsistent results, which I put down to the limitations of a break barrel gun. When I went to get more pellets, they didn't have the Crosman's, so I got Gamo Red Fire. They are amazing. My groupings are consistently within a quarter at 20 yards. More than adequate to take rats in the backyard.

@@PCP_HUNTER_UK same mate . Before using the hades I leaded barrel in with heavy’s as I guessed the lead composition would be the same and the second one I took out of tin was way deformed!

@@PhuketWord to use your example if you had a fan on your ceiling and the blades went along the ceiling and down the walls if it’s turning clockwise it doesn’t matter where you stand in the room the blades turn clockwise. No compensating for your lack of intelligence

No shooter compensates for curve or spin. as you have demonstrated here. You fire straight at the target. Welcome to flat earth!

Yes it did and when I tried to track it it said “waiting for confirmation from courier” got hold of target company after many emails and left answer phone messages they sent another, then the first one turned up and a day later the other one. Emailed asking what they want me to do and still not had a reply….

@@christopherbroadhurst750 tbh I did complain a lot , but I think 14 days is taking the p1ss. I ordered on the Saturday e petit to arrive before the following Saturday (not unreasonable imo) if they were being made to order that should have been stated an I would understand the delay. Had a msg later on Saturday saying dispatched. When the first order came it had a label on it saying postage underpaid or something….

Yeah , again, very similar story… I had to pay a postage fee of £4:50 and then rearrange the delivery. Shame really as the target itself is great quality…. I don’t think I will be buying anything from them again though .

It is mate, it’s weird cos when I’ve tried before sometimes the quietest readings on the db meter don’t sound the quietest, so that’s why when I did this I put the meter 20 m away as I think that’s a realistic distance an just shit over the top into the field as I didn’t want the impact on a target being picked up an messing the reading up, might re do it an try an use the sound from phone recording db meter ( if I can figure out how 😂)
