"It's not a sustainable system, high voltage is very dangerous. If there are 4 water circulation motors in the boat and there is still sea water interaction, if it's not direct drive and requires a gearbox and cooling, if the battery has to reach high amps, if the battery charge and discharge balance has to be cooled at high temperatures, if the motor is heating up even though there is a gearbox, and if the motor also has to be cooled with seawater circulation, and even if there is a special cooling fluid for the battery, and if I have to use service batteries to cool 4 separate circulation motors and circulation water instead of using them for my refrigerator, and if my top speed range is only 39 minutes, and if I have to charge with 380V three-phase, or if I have to wait 9 hours to charge with single-phase, and if I have to spend 39 minutes cruising and 540 minutes charging, if I have to pay 7,000-10,000 euros for a 380V 90-100 amp charger and reduce my charging time to 2 hours, if I'm going to halve or even more reduce my battery life by fast charging, and if I can't feed my battery from any regenerative source, and if I can't provide feedback energy from the natural rotation of my propeller due to wind or current like wind or solar, unfortunately XSHORE boats are NOT REALLY SUSTAINABLE. Thanks."

You're selling an electric boat with the tag line, "The Power of Silence". You inject music into the video. Why?
@joeljenkins94764 ай бұрын
Put a 160 180 hp on that electric boat and use the electric like a trolling motor or in the shallow water if it had a jet design now that would be dope even a backup if you have engine troubles.... I imagine that the e boat is heavy af though..... Not sponsored by a engineer just by a redneck lol

Speed is not the point really, the point is how many hours can it run? I am not in the habit of taking a one hour drive around the archipelago and then I have to go home and recharge the batteries...

Thank you for your feedback! We understand that range is a crucial factor for extended trips. Our boats are designed to offer sustainable and efficient electric power, with a maximum range of up to 100 nautical miles at lower speeds. You can explore our full range specifications here: xshore.com/products/eelex-8000/specifications/ to see how they perform across different speeds. Our goal is to provide you with the freedom to enjoy longer journeys without frequent recharging.

C'mon, this is just a waste of money. They are selling the eco story with bizzare things like cork on top. And no comfort. Just the eel mascot to get impaled on when boarding this stupidity. On the other hand, there is Candela 8 for almost the same price, with scientists and not just PR people behind. Double range, less than half consumption, cabin, toilette, fridge and introduces the hydrofoil. They are the real future of electric boating.

Until you can sell it for 20k USD per unit, it remains a luxury, and luxury does not realize your marketing pitch. Much more like the opposite.

I guess it is the way all new technologies come to market. High priced, high spec offerings to start with slowly working towards mass market, lower priced models. All depends on the price of batteries really in this case.

Why not have a duct around the propeller to prevent cutting a swimmer / animal or protect the blades from damage? Would the drag really be significant to impact battery consumption? Would be nice to see this feature.

If you plan to sell these in South Florida please make a version without the bow steps and with a seat in front of the console and an additional 2 bowrider side seats up front with removable front-facing back rests and a mount for an additional table in the bow. This will make it much more applicable to our use.

in my opinion: it would've been so much better if you didn't show a scene of "fishing" while you talk about issues like sustainability, under surface life and low emissions which all lead to "vegan lifestyle". it's not about just eating animals, but it's about giving attention to a planet nature and eco-system that are disintegrating
@fouzhan19922 жыл бұрын
@@isacericsson7218 i would really like to declare agreement, but the more i think of roots of sustainability, the less i find this process vain. I don't live in America so i definitely don't know about fishing cultures over there. But let's imagine that it's 99% catch and release. It is still cruelty as long as fishes are horrified, harmed or even killed due to injuries. The Philosophy of Sustainability is arisen from the right of living which belongs to all creatures and every single organ plays its own part. And i'm definitely agree on the "salement" part of which a fisherman is more likely to buy a 300000 dollar boat. I just say that consonancy and harmony in idea and act

The squared off nose is an unnecessary sacrifice. Boats really need to consider aerodynamics as well given that most of their surface is exposed to the air. It is unusual how little regard is given to this aspect by virtually all boat designers. We can help you if you lack the aerodynamics expertise...

Great job! Sustainability only for the ultra rich. For that money you could buy a 50 ft sailboat.
