Nice win, but on a standard 8 lap arcade the pos you ended on lap 8 would have been your position, as improvement aim for consistent 17 second lap times, 16 seconds is possible even with auto, but is hard if not manual 4. On another hand there is a hidden difficulty slider from easy-very hard on arcade console. Also cardinal rule you have broken here in early laps: NEVER brawl with AI cars with this game if you can, you will always lose speed on sideways hits. -From: Your average daytona USA arcade player- I feel old, the people I played with back when I was a kid in year 2000s should be in their mid 40s to 50s these days. 😅

As a UK (or European) game, it is supposed to run slower (PAL/50hz). If you have always run the game faster, it will sound odd.

I've never really tried 1-3-4 on this track, 4-2-4 is clearly the fastest way but you have to have a good line. I normally 2-3-4 if I feel that I need a little more control. tbh I'm not coming close to world records but I was competitive enough at this when you could still find a game online.@@blakedmc1989RaveHD

How did you get the music to work? I downloaded it from MyAbandonware, RIP version doesn't have music, ISO version has 2 installations: Minimum and Full. Full doesn't work at all when I click on the exe, Minimum works but without music. I read your other comments that you need to copy the GAME folder but I tried copying it to both Minimum and Full installation directories and nothing works. Please help!

It's the cd audio from the original disc. If your version has the music, it should work if you emulate the cd with daemon tools or something similar.

@@SamorNL I didn't understand, how can Daemon Tools emulate the CD? Do you mean mounting it? If so, I'm on Windows 10, I can mount images without DT. Can you write a step-by-step tutorial on how to get the music working for digital versions?

@@SaneZoomer The image I have is bin/cue format and about 500MB tall. If your ISO is much smaller it won't have the soundtrack. If you find an image with the soundtrack you need software that is able to playback cd audio from an image. I know that Deamon Tools is capable of doing this, I don't know if Windows supports it natively (at least not bin/cue).

@@SaneZoomer If you mount it with daemon tools it should play the music with cd player software (like windows media player), as well as in the game itself. If not, then maybe it is not recognized correctly.

Yeah, GearVR has been long discontinued since I posted this video, but it works and looks the same on Steam. You can even use a cheap VR solution (Google Cardboard in combination with software like VRidge) as it doesn't require any special controls.
