Probably one of the best tractors ever made!..the 5120’s were better than the 5220’s because they had an inter cooler and had more hp than advertised…Case was counting on selling lots of 5130’s but the 5120’s performed just as good as the 5130’s so everyone bought the 5120’s…so they took out the intercooler and derated the hp so they would sell more 5230’s!..just a fun fact!..

I purchased this exact tractor brand new in 1982. It was my main tractor for big jobs in the day such as a 4 bottom roll over plowing, discing and ripping. It was an absolute pleasure every day I climbed in it to do field work. Not only that it was one of, if not the most reliable pieces of equipment I ever owned. In ten years of using the tractor, not one single time did it have to go back to the dealer for any issues whatsoever. I loved that tractor so much, had I seen this one for sale, I would have jumped on the opportunity to purchase it. This one looks near perfect as mine was after I used mine for 10 years and sold it only because I quit farming.

Question how do you open the hood? The only thing I see is the bar with a ball on the left side and nothing happens when I pull.

My joy stick just spends around loose. It will lift bucket ,but won't bend left or right to curl bucket.
