I’m sorry this happened to you, even more sorry you are feeling as you do behind the event. You said it yourself, no matter where you go, by being Black, you’ll experience people who will treat you a certain way. F, them, hold your head up high. Walk with pride. Don’t shrink yourself. It may not be easy, but F them, find a safe space mentality. Be safe physically!! As a Black person, we constantly have to question interactions, daily!!! Don’t give them the win, because trust me, regardless of them seeing you or not, they know they intimidated you. Next time, take your time, do your shopping, and keep it moving. What I do, especially in white areas as I travel, get in, get out, get gone. If I’m that uncomfortable, I walk away. What you’ve experienced happens EVERYWHERE!!! Also, THANK YOU FOR LIVING OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!

I quite literally relate so completely. Unfortunately it can be hard to find a place in the world. I’ve heard lots of black queer women like Merida and playa del Carmen. Also I’ve heard Asia like Thailand and Vietnam are nice places. I’m so pros of you whatever you do! Keep the faith and protect you and yours and have plans in place to have community

Hey QOD. I’m so sorry for your experience and I’m truly heartbroken by your story. It’s really sad to see people who have deep hatred toward someone because of how their hair or their skin color looks. Honestly, you’re so brave for sharing your story and I’m really glad I was able to see it. I can sort of relate to your situation. I was raised in Florida in also a diverse community. However, not too long ago I estranged from my family after they found out I had bipolar disorder. I also moved to a small town (Ames, Iowa) because I thought it would be a better experience for me as a brown Pakistani and it would be more safer. I have experienced a lot of racism here. In fact, it’s been a traumatic experience for me. I never knew how much racism was so systematically ingrained in the US. I can only imagine what it’s like in your shoes. I sometimes wonder also where else can I go since even my own family doesn’t care about me. Please do keep us posted on your situation and I hope and pray to God that it improves. May God protect you and be with you always. Always remember, you deserve the best in life dear friend. ❤️🙏🏽

I am sorry to hear of your plight. Unfortunately, we do share this world with negative, nasty people. We cannot prevent the way others treat us. However, we can control our reactions to it. Let me get this straight. Jay Z is falsely accused of a heinous crime by an unwell woman who has been caught in several lies with the help of her ambulance chasing lawyer, and people feel that the right thing to do is pick apart Mr. Carter's statement to find "red flags"? To be falsely accused is to be abused. It is a traumatic experience. He is a victim, and this is victim-blaming. When the guilty-until-proven-innocent ideology falls flat and exposes itself as extremely flawed and wrong, there is never any reflection on how the accusation and public scorn has mentally impacted the falsely accused. People just move on as if their participation in this person's anguish was justified. In fact, they truly believe it was justified.

Thank you for being honest about not voting. I think fear voting and choosing between wrong and horrendous is NOT something I believe we should just believe are our only choices. JUST to uphold a false belief of civic duty or ancestral battles. I believe it's been clear on so many governmental levels there are issues on all levels. When we have to vote on genocide now or brutality to specific groups of people we have already chosen the wrong path. Good luck on your plans loves! Im trying not to be negative because you seem very fragile But this is why wokeness, and the mindset that produced it, is a disease. Im raising my daughter's to not see racism in everything that makes them upset and when they do experience it to not let it break them. Also what is with this thing where we cant acknowledge that white racism ISNT the root of all evil and pretend like everybidy else is so much better than the so called bleach demons? Do you really think Africa would be a great place for a 1. Queer. 2. Woman to live? That is insane and wishful thinking that if you get away from the evil whites everything will be heavenly. Sadly until we (black people) look honestly at ourselves well never have any functioning safe prosperous society where we run it and only we live there. In the mean time look for solutions for the next generation that dont involve ignoring WHY people associate our skin color with crime. I dont like when women tense up when i get in an elevator but i understand why and that does take SOME of the anger out of me.
