The council will select a few of these schools as clusters and collect data from all students within those selected schools. This approach simplifies the data collection process by focusing on groups (schools) rather than individual students. (b) To choose three clusters, the council can follow these steps: - List all 20 primary schools in the town. - Use a random method (e.g., drawing names from a hat or using a random number generator) to select three schools from the list. These three schools will be the clusters for the study. (c) - The council might prefer this method because it's logistically easier to access and collect data from entire schools rather than trying to contact and survey every individual student in the town, which could be impractical. - If the council doesn't ensure that the three selected clusters represent the diversity of the town's schools, the sample may not be fully representative of the entire population of primary school students. This question isn't an official question, it is quite a quirky and strange case of a question, you are very unlikely to get one asked in this way.
